Of his brain contracted from a Yellow Fever vaccine and a parasite in his body. Wow. (You have to have a yellow fever vaccine if you do any missions work, especially in Africa. But the focus was not on that but more on the gift of God, the love of family and the precious time we have together. and of coarse the food. *smile*All in all, it was a blessed day. A Day in the Life. Thursday, August 12, 2010. Moment. David and I were sitting on the couch and Noah walked up to me and said "Daddy is your honey. He is your best friend. And you can talk to him." I looked at David and said "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" ;). Moment. After we said prayers before bed last night and I asked Noah if there was anything else he wanted to pray about. He said "Dear Jesus, Thank you for letting me kick Maggie (our dog)." Uhhhhhhh no Noah, That's not exactly what I meant ;).

A Day in the Life. Sunday, July 24, 2011. Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup. I made this tonight and it turned out pretty good. David and Noah both really liked it! I love a good crockpot recipe so I thought I'd share. 1 pound shredded, cooked chicken. 1 (15 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, mashed. 1 (10 ounce) can enchilada sauce. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 (145 ounce) can chicken broth 1 teaspoon cumin. 1 teaspoon chili powder.
