Do I need to rent a car? How do I get there? Stansted and other airports to Krakow with Ryanair(Krakow aiport is 2 hours and ten minutes drive to the house - and can be done in 90 minutes by a driver experienced with the route (eg taxi). Gatwick, Southend and other aiports to Krakow with Easyjet. Gatwick to Krakow with LOT or British Airways. Expect to pay around £150 per person return including taxes for a budget airline during the summer (it can be more during bank holidays etc). What is there to do?

It is possible to rent the holiday home by the day (minimum 2 nights) or the week. There are three bedrooms (two with double beds and one with two single beds). Note: if you want to come at times other than the summer (eg for winter/autumn/spring walking or for winter skiing etc) that is also fine - we have very good electric central heating and super-thick wooden walls! From the house it is possible to take a pleasant walk (about 20 minutes) down to the lake, where you can sun-bathe or picnic. Alternatively, you can walk up into the hills and, after about 1.5 hours walking, reach the 1000m-high peak at Zar, which is surrouned by beautiful mountain pastures where you can take in the views of the much more precipitous Tatra National Park. About 15 minutes drive from the house is the Slovakian border crossing - well worth a visit for cheap beer (even cheaper than Poland!
