All filled back in which JCB then compacted, it was there anyway helping me spread 22 tons of gravel for the drive, 300m of it! This lead me to the landscaping at front of Chaleur. But only just and it was all such a blur, 6 week stretch & each being a 70 hour week, before which I was informed by the doc that I was suffering Chronic fatigue and that I needed to back off😦 if only! I didn’t get many photos i’m afraid of the glass units I put in above the doors, the joint and taping of plasterboards, painting and decorating, tiling bathroom floor or under floor heating. Insulation and damp proof.

Time to seal some gaps ready for bardarge / cladding. 200mm of insulation bonded with expanda foam to the surrounding area, some weather shield for the exposed area behind the lean to. Got some walls to expose & first up was the TV corner, to the right of doorway will be a stud wall built coming out at an angle but allowing the dressed stone of the doorway to be exposed. Next was a wall within the shower, a false ceiling will bring the height down to meet top of doorway. And the other side where the bath will sit. Front wall of bedroom exposed, some lovely big stones to.

A new life in France, 10 year farm renovation project. April 14, 2015. Well she is but the garage isn’t…. More cladding, more render and a side order of paint (was hungry when writing this :). Can’t expose this wall as its been repaired at some point with air bricks so this we’ll clad and shape to meet the stone where it protrudes. Batten and boards with one eager dog to go for a walk despite having the freedom of 20 acres to run around in at will! Looks nice cut into the stone. Canopée… April 2015.
