A Mouse, A Man & Their Monkey: One Week Down...
http://michelleandjoebrunjes.blogspot.com/2009/08/one-week-down.html
A Mouse, A Man and Their Monkey. Saturday, August 22, 2009. Well, we're one week into the new preschool year and so far, so good. Afton is in the 4 year old class this year. She goes 5 days a week from 9 to 1, and she LOVES it. I asked her if she had fun on her first day and she said "It was awesome! When Joe picked her up on Wednesday she asked if they could stop at McDonald's for an ice cream cone. When he said "Well, what color did you get today? Hey - whatever works! She's recognizing rhyming words, ...

A Mouse, A Man & Their Monkey: New Additions
http://michelleandjoebrunjes.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-additions.html
A Mouse, A Man and Their Monkey. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. About a week or so ago we were getting out of the car and Afton said "Mommy, I see a nest! I looked around, but didn't really see any bushes that would be safe enough for a bird to build a nest in, and we only have one smallish tree in our yard - so I thought maybe she meant at Grandma's house or something so all I said was "That's nice". To which she replied, pointing emphatically to our scrawny tree "No, mommy, I see a nest! And noisy, too!

A Mouse, A Man and Their Monkey. Saturday, August 22, 2009. My Girl's Got Style. I forgot to post pics of Afton's new school bag. I picked this cute little tote up at The Dollar Store and got some iron-on flowers and letters for her name. The first time we tried this I melted the bag with the iron - oops! The picture isn't the best quality.I took it with my phone, sorry. Hey - whatever works! She already has a homework project that she's been working on, and she loves it! She asks me to copy extra worksh...

The Laytons: September 2011
http://kristinandchase.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 15, 2011. This is probably one of the longest posts I will ever write so if you don't want to read this dissertation then just skip it. I remember when I was pregnant with Cade, he was so incredibly active. I even asked my OB if that meant he was going to be a really hyperactive kid. He said no, but of course, that is just what Cade has turned out to be. So when Reece was just as active as Cade in the womb, I knew we were in for round 2. Not a self-soother- "They want to interact with...

The Laytons: March 2012
http://kristinandchase.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. 6,7, Oops! Well, I meant to do a 6 months post of Reece, but that didn't happen. So I was going to do a 7 months post. Too bad he is already 8 1/2 months old, and I'm just now getting to post on the blog. I have plenty of. Kleenex to dry your tears (I really do) . Let's just jump right in and go about this as a complete hodge podge of random photos and events. He got his first 2 bottom teeth at 5 1/2 months. Well, hello there! Always sucking in that lip. Found him standing up in h...

Sunday, August 19, 2012. Can I Get a Yum-Yum? I'm just going to be honest- I really. Enjoy food. I mean, REALLY enjoy food. Who doesn't, right? Well, my beyond picky eater of a husband does not. Now, I don't mean that he doesn't like food or doesn't eat it often. What I mean is that he doesn't enjoy. It This may sound a little far fetched so let me give you an example. When I eat something that is really good, everyone around me knows it. Anyone else tend to say - "OOOHHHH, this is so good! So after many...

The Laytons: October 2012
http://kristinandchase.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 22, 2012. I know this is really late in coming as most of these happenings occurred 1-2 months ago, but, alas, a new post is finally born. Cade's first day of preschool this year. My wish came true- his teacher from last year moved up an age group, and Cade got her again! Cade's very first soccer practice. First popsicle without help. First football game of the season! First attempt at putting shorts on completely by himself. We were shocked at how good he is! Reece's first ER visit.

Saturday, October 29, 2011. One Saturday it was Free Museum Day, so we went to The Space and Rocket Center. It's really sad that I've lived in Huntsville almost my entire life and had never been before. So what did I think? Eh- pretty boring actually. Maybe Space Camp and the IMAX are fun, but those aren't free. Cade didn't seem to care though. He had a great time! Chase, on the other hand, didn't even ride it- WHO'S THE CHICKEN NOW? I had never heard of the Madison Street Festival and didn't realize how...

The Laytons: December 2011
http://kristinandchase.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 19, 2011. I thought this day wouldn't come for years and years. We lasted until shortly after Cade's 3rd birthday. I guess now that I have a new baldy, it's okay that Cade has big boy looking hair. Oh My Goodness. He looks so grown up now! So adorable. So big. Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Great to Be 3! Cade had his 3rd birthday last week on December 8th. I can't believe my baby is already 3! As for celebrating this occasion, of course, we did it Thomas style. Was there even a doubt?
