November 14th we will have a new addition to the family! It has been a long road, but with lots of patience and a strong faith it finally became a reality for us. This is our 10 week ultrasound picture, it was fun to see it move during this appointment. More pictures and updates are to come. And another 4 months.

They have made some great progress! They will finish the electrical work soon and early next week start the drywall. We are still working on choosing interior finishes and making lots of decisions. It can get pretty stressful at times. We hope to be moved in by early August, so mark you calendars. :). Back of the house.

Tuesday, February 26, 2013. I just love Lent. I don't know what it is exactly, but forty days to prepare for the greatest celebration in our Christian faith. it is overwhelming. Good grief. I am not even pregnant this year and I have already cried twice. Just getting my supplies together. Sacrifice, Repentance, Forgiveness. Those words and Christ’s story are overflowing into every corner of this house. What do we have to offer the King? I want them to see and understand the Great Story. Links to this post.

Monday, January 28, 2013. Tonight I am unpacking a bag of clothes my sister borrowed for a trip. It makes me think two things:. Sadly, I am just realizing it was a pregnant sister who was doing the borrowing, but I am refusing to spend too much time on that fact. Friday, June 12, 2015. A Mother's Reflection on Family Pictures. I have a love/hate relationship with family pictures. I love to see them, stare at them, frame them, shop for them but I HATE to get ready for them and take them. It is like the Nazis are coming and the house is on fire. And everyone is calling my name to let me know.and we are late. For the Nazis. I spend the whole morning trying to remember why I paid money for this. We leave with sweat rings, gray hairs and our parental dignity shattered.
