Simply a place for me to come and share my thoughts, dreams, experiences, and possibly let off a wee bit of steam. Teaching - well, it's pretty fantastic. It feels pretty great to be in a classroom, watching kids learn, asking them questions and seeing the gears turning - all those little cliches people say are TRUE. And it's awesome. And it's snowing. How wonderful is that? My Dad just helped me put my winter tires on the car and as I drove home I experienced my first snow of the season. Good timing?

Not so much fun for me, but this time, thankfully, it was relatively painless. One month of almost constant showings (some of which were illegal, but not going to get into that! So, I accepted a 0.8 position with the same employer I worked for part-time during my most recent three years of schooling. It's bittersweet. I'm happy to have a job and doing it well, but I'm frustrated with being unable to get a teaching position. I went back to school for that sole reason, and well, it just hasn't happened yet. My father and oldest sister really stepped up and helped me out. So did coworkers, enabling me to take time off to do it all. Started packing after work on the 6th and had moved everything in by 615pm on the 9th. Not bad! Since the 9th of July I've been in my new place and loving it. It's not for sale!
