Probably should've started the painting with that in mind instead of deciding half way through. Oh well. Friday, January 11, 2013. It's been awhile since my last update. I like the character and the actress, but I'm pretty ashamed of this painting. No where to go but up at this point I suppose. And then I did this. Without my favorite Sai brush, I was lost and in pain. I got a bunch of new brushes before this painting and it shows. So much shame. I resist the urge to flee back to the comf...The next day ...

Out of the three options I posted in a previous entry, I chose "Crash Time Six", a show about the children of famous superheroes and what they do while their parents are out saving the world. The show is half action-adventure, half slice-of-life (well, a slice of their. Life) My goal is to explore the life of the kids, both at home and when they go on crazy adventures.

No school work yet, but I've started doing a "quick" sketch painting every day. Ideally I'd post them daily, and hopefully will for now on. But first, a still life of a fork and a spoon! This is a fork and a spoon. Obviously, my crowning achievement in metallic rendering. I can't draw horses. :(. BF: I think a whitish-brown tint.

It's pretty unrewarding to spend an hour on a painting only to notice the girl's eye is way off to the left and then having to move it over as opposed to painting. 20 minute quick paint. Today was extremely tiring and I was falling asleep so I couldn't spend long. Monday, May 27, 2013. There is no gradient on that rock. I paint so slowly. Sunday, May 26, 2013. Must learn to paint trees and leaves faster.

A place for all my bad drawings and paintings. Monday, January 23, 2012. This is late, but I finally got around to taking pictures of my projects from Ani 113a. This is my black and white still life. I posted it as a part of my portfolio previously, but I took a better picture so I thought I'd post it again. I hated this project with a passion, but I did learn a ton from it. This is one of my first traditional paintings. Also, I hate acrylics. My still life tells a story. Can you tell what it is?
