As of now we are generating sound at 8 different points depending on the difference as shown below. For example if the difference in bearing value is between 22.5 and 67.5 the sound would be generated at point B. We have still not considered the change of sound w.r.t the head movement of the user, we assume he's walking straight. Right now we are working on this aspect. The journey so far.

Thursday, October 2, 2008. Finding angle between a source and destination location. Person is travelling from a certain point A to a point B. Available data from The device (GPS etc.). Lat/Long of point A. Lat/Long of point B. Observations about change in latitude and longitude as one travels. Steps to be followed. 1 Convert lat/long of A and B into decimal degrees. 2 Calculate difference between the two. 3 Find out if I am travelling in North/South and East/West using the above table. Point A: NID gate.

The task is to convert these into a local coordinate system that can be used to generate sound in a particular direction which will be with respect to the direction the user is heading.
