Smells Like Bacon: Chapter Eight: Podcasting and the Importance of Audience
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/chapter-eight-more-attempts-at.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Chapter Eight: Podcasting and the Importance of Audience. I think podcasting and screencasting may be my favorite thing I've learned in this class. The possibilities for its use in the classroom are so varied! With having an audience twenty-four/seven? And if we are, how did we get to this point? I'm trying to figure out if I think its a good thing that these technologies exist or not. Or...

Smells Like Bacon: AutoBio Update
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/autobio-update.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Saturday, May 23, 2009. I failed Biology twice in college getting my bachelor's degree. I was an English major and not so good with science. I waited until my last semester in college to take the class. And I failed so couldn't graduate. Then I failed it again and didn't graduate. But I can certainly use the web to see how others interpret the story and share my own thoughts on Mr. Micawber and Uriah Heep. I was sing...

Smells Like Bacon: Digital Story: Second draft
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/digital-story-second-draft.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Digital Story: Second draft. This is the final version I'm turning in for this project, but I will be making some changes on my own at a later time. Four days is hardly enough time for me to tell this story right. Great digital movie. It was really touching: ). May 20, 2009 at 6:13 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 10 Years of Blogging: Time for a Change and a Book. This is more about me:.

Smells Like Bacon: ATTN: Principal
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/attn-principal-bowie.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Wednesday, May 20, 2009. After hearing about Google Sketchup in an education class, I wanted to find out more about it. Apparently, its a drawing software that allows you to create three dimensional models on your computer. After creation, you may save them, post them online, share them via youtube, use them in presentations, etc. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 10 Years of Blogging: Time for a Change and a Book.

Smells Like Bacon: A real blog at last?
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/real-blog-at-last.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Tuesday, May 19, 2009. A real blog at last? I'm posting a link that my friend Ryan gave me. He's a poet, writer, philosopher and teacher. The link is:. Is it easier to tell a story with words, pictures and music than it is with just words? How is digital storytelling different than our more traditional storytelling models? Is its popularity due to its newness? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is more about me:.

Smells Like Bacon: Chapter Six: Overload
http://smellslikeabacon.blogspot.com/2009/05/chapter-six-overload.html
A chronical of the doings of the Bacon household (and temporary home for EDTP 504 work). Friday, May 22, 2009. So, I have already acknowledged an innate distrust of technology. I feel like us humans get greedy and take things too far. Why do things have to move so fast? I'll be honest. The fact is, I don't really. I've enjoyed reading your posts, Amber. It's interesting to be able to get the reader's perspective on something you've written. Thanks again for the honest reflection. May 22, 2009 at 2:22 PM.

The Ellis Family: February 2011
http://fiske-ellis.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Matt, Ashley, Connor, and Jake. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Out of the mouths of babes. Tonight's advice from Connor was just too good to pass up! We were celebrating Joshua's birthday and Antonia jokingly asked Connor to tell Joshua how to be a nice boy. Connor's response? You just have to close your mouth and make a happy face! First of all, I promise I never tell him to. Talking (well, maybe on the 1,256th "Mommy! Of the drive home). Tune him out sometimes? Well, maybe. Discourage talking?

The Pucketts: New pictures
http://bufordpucketts.blogspot.com/2009/10/new-pictures.html
Tuesday, October 27, 2009. It's been a while I know and it seems the Shutterfly video slideshow doesn't exactly work well so I am back to posting the old-fashioned way. I'd like to say I have a ton of pictures to post but, the truth is, I don't. I have been so busy with weddings/engagements, etc. that this is really the only weekend time I have spent with my kids lately :( But, things are starting to slow down and with the holidays I hope to have more and more posts. The Ellis Family: June 2010
http://fiske-ellis.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Matt, Ashley, Connor, and Jake. Thursday, June 24, 2010. I know I sound like the English teacher dork that I am, but Matt and I were marvelling yesterday at the fact that he can now say complete sentences. Well, sort of. He can put a subject, verb, and object together in the correct order. Pretty impressive - he could teach some former students a thing or two! Just a couple of pictures from the first days of summer:.
