May 18, 2015. By Michael & Fawn. Can you believe it? We’ve already been in Papua over one month! And…”one month” means we are finished with Unit One (of six) of our language program! We had our first exam this morning. It went very well, so we will soon be moving on to Unit Two. Anyone who has tried to learn a new language in his or her 30s/40s will agree! In the mean time – in just a couple of days we get to finally visit the Helimission base. There will surely be lots of pictures to post from that trip.

May 26, 2015. By Michael & Fawn. And then one day…there we were! You know our story. (If you don’t yet, read it here. It’s what’s been on our minds for a long time. And then, one day, a few days ago, after all those years of imagining and researching and praying…we got to go there! We loved every minute, and it was. Encouraging. Just the fuel we need to push through the rest of language school. We were all very happy to see helicopters again. The helicopter coming back in from a flight, in the distance.

(Beyond the fact that we are all relatively healthy again – over our various illnesses of typhoid and strep throat and whatever else was in there…thank-you Jesus for hearing our prayers! Disaster relief in Nepal. Simon Tanner, who was present for the second quake.
