https://bellaandwill.wordpress.com/2013/05/09/finding-the-wow-in-the-every-day
For Bella and Will. Enjoying the simple things in life with my little family. Herman the German Friendship Cake. Finding the “wow” in the every day. When I was younger my Gran called me her “wow girl”. This was because every other word I uttered was “wow! 8221;, I was fascinated by everything, mainly in nature, but many things elicited an exclamation of wonder in me. Here are some of Bellas photos, unedited, she is so happy with them and I am so happy that I can teach my little girl a skill that she will...

childhood, uninterrupted: July 2013
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Thursday, 25 July 2013. I find myself with time to spare, so a little catch up is in order. I should like to note the arrival of the new heir to the throne. I am a big Royalist, and it makes me happy to see the British Monarchy thriving and drawing interest from around the world. I am also happy that I have earned myself £45 from betting he would be called George. Heh heh. O joy to the world. And this is me today:. Is this the standard of eye care I ca...

childhood, uninterrupted: I knew it was a mistake
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014/10/i-knew-it-was-mistake.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 24 October 2014. I knew it was a mistake. To buy Maltesers AT ALL. Well, here we are again. We have enjoyed three weeks of high days and holidays, starting with a week in Ibiza at the beginning of the month. This was a real bargain holiday, coming in at £886 for the three of us, all inclusive, flying from our local airport, three miles up the road. Me likey muchly. I am not exaggerating. Oh, and I got a big ol' haircut:. Then I put a dye on it.

childhood, uninterrupted: September 2013
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Wednesday, 4 September 2013. September is upon us, and Autumn is a-knocking at the door of our fair summer. I have enjoyed this summer, made glorious by an early June abroad-earned tan and weight loss. I have even shaved my legs on a twice-weekly basis in celebration of my new found confidence in wearing shorts. Let me count the clothes. I am so very, very glad I went and saw the Colour Lady. Nothing is restrictive because it 'only goes with that pair ...

Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Saturday, 28 December 2013. This was the rather charming phrase used by Oliver to describe the state people needed to be in to collect their cars from the pub after a night out. I intend to be undrunk throughout January. The whole of January. No alcohol. Dry January. Life turns on a dime. Adieu, not goodbye. Oh, the joy of cracker gifts. THE gift of the year. Saturday, December 28, 2013. Links to this post. A Blade of Grass: January 2012
http://ablade-ofgrass.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A Blade of Grass. Knitting, knitting, knitting, crochet, knitting! Tuesday, 31 January 2012. So called because I think it looks like one, and at the moment it's about the right size too. I was on Ravelry last night (just for a change) and noticed I only had 3 works in progress! Well, thought I, that'll never do, better start something else pronto! Once I stopped fretting and just had a go, though, it was so easy and enjoyable, it very quickly made sense, and now I'm having a thoroughly brilliant time mak...

A Blade of Grass. Knitting, knitting, knitting, crochet, knitting! Friday, 18 May 2012. Just a quick post to share this fabulous link with you all. Louisa Harding has set up a site for her fundraising efforts for Macmillan Cancer Support, and has provided some new hat patterns for people to make, in exchange for a donation to the cause. The link is here. I think it's the perfect excuse for me to have my first ever go at knitting a hat, and knitting in the round! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rewind...

A Blade of Grass: May 2012
http://ablade-ofgrass.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
A Blade of Grass. Knitting, knitting, knitting, crochet, knitting! Saturday, 26 May 2012. WIP: Bigger on the Inside. I am quite a big fan of Doctor Who, so when I found this pattern. I knew I absolutely had to have a go at it, especially as I'm currently obsessed with making shawls too. Unfortunately I got in a bit of a pickle, with new stitches I'm not used to, and let the stitch count get completely out of hand. I'm not even sure how I ended up with 14 (! Saturday, 19 May 2012. Here it is in progress.
