Tell me what it is you want to do with your one wild and precious life? Sunday, April 22, 2012. The awesome view from my window in my classroom! As part of a project, Austin was researching Abe Lincoln for school. All the second graders prepared a speech, costume, and poster and we all met Tuesday evening for the Wax Museum. The whole family attended and celebrated his moment. He worked diligently on saying,"Emancipation Proclamation" and all the parents congratulated him on his effort. Soaking up all th...

Tell me what it is you want to do with your one wild and precious life? Wednesday, September 28, 2011. The Lives We Touch. Last week in my class of treasures, I read the book Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. I may never know the difference, the impact I make on every life I touch. But, daily I try to be present with the moments. I fail often, when the pressure of day to day life grabs hold. But, tomorrow's a new day and the sun will shine again. Hurray, Hurray, Hurray! So change is good! Check out the artic...

Embracing Life's Journeys: December 2011
http://embracinglifesjourneys.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tell me what it is you want to do with your one wild and precious life? Monday, December 26, 2011. Once you choose HOPE, anything's possible. I find it difficult to put into words the emotions that surrounded Sarah's First Christmas Day, and that it was on a Sunday was even more special. I had to wake each child up, comb through Sarah's rat nest of hair, and then the kids walked downstairs to see what Santa and his elves had left for them. She has a family. She will move mountains. Tell me what it is you want to do with your one wild and precious life? Friday, September 3, 2010. The Red Thread Part Three. We hadn't told our children yet, because it would be hard for them to understand without a picture or a child to call our own. What is even more special is that she has the same birthday as Sara, the little 3rd grader who brought our families together. Our red thread is closer than ever and will continue to stay close. September 4, 2010 at 9:50 PM. Congratulations on your journey!

If We Are the Body.....: January 2012
http://pardue-wearethebody.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
If We Are the Body. Saturday, January 28, 2012. He Spoke and I Listened. How in the world did we get to this point? How did we realize this is the path that God placed us on? How did we know we were supposed to adopt a child with Down syndrome? Well my blog friends…. We’ve been asked these questions quite a few times over the past few weeks. I keep giving the same response…even to the social worker…. It’s a God thing. So, I wrote it all down immediately so I could always remember the day God called me.
