Homely Food by Athira Vibineesh. AVIYAL ( a sadhya recipe). Peel the skin of following vegetables and cut them into 2 inch long piece. Elephant foot yam / chena-100 grams. Ash gourd/ kumbalanga -3/4 cup. Cucumber/ vellarikka - 1. Grated coconut - 1 cup. Cumin seeds /Jeera - 1/2 tsp. Coconut oil - 2-3 tsp. Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp. Wash and cook all the vegetables along with turmeric powder and salt with little amount of water (just cook should not be mashed). Now it's ready to use. Create a free website.

Homely Food by Athira Vibineesh. OLAN ( a sadhya recipe ). Winter melon/ kumbalanga- 1 cup. Coconut milk thick- 1 cup. Blackeyed beans/ vanpayar- 1/2 cup. Coconut oil- 1 tbs. Cook the beans using salt and water. Cook winter melon, green chilly with water and salt seperately. After that add the cooked beans to it. Mix well and allow to boil. Now add coconut milk and curry leaves. Cook it in a low flame for6-8 min. Then put the flame off and add some more curry leaves and coconut oil. Olan is ready to use.
