Engine Pull

Labor Day Weekend 2005. New Engine and Stuff. Labor Day weekend didn't turn out as planned, but thankfully for me it meant we were going to the In-Law's house and I could work on the Mustang. We cleaned out the area between the Barn and the Silo, which was a little room just the right size for sandblasting. After some issues with the sandblaster, including a full water trap, and the hose coming off a few times, it worked pretty good.

Engine, Tranny, Carb. New Engine and Stuff. Some pics of the Engine I bought to replace the 250 6Cyl. It came with a 4160 type 600CFM Holley carb, which would do OK for me. It will need to be rebuilt as well. I also got a second manifold and 2bbl. Holley carb and a 4-speed truck tranny. Those are shown here as well. The truck tranny was sold to a person for $75. I hoep they can use it in their Bronco, or whatever. For now I'm keeping the 3-speed, but keeping my eyes open for a nice 4 or 5 speed.

New Engine and Stuff. Pictures of her at Country CLassic Cars in Staunton, Ilinois. You can check them out at. Pictures at her first home, Dad's garage, the day after she was purchased. My Father-in-law says I have to come up with a name for her. I'm still thinking about it. I'll post it when I decide on one.

New Engine and Stuff. A great place for info on brake conversions, and several other Mustang upgrades. Also, one of the best Mustang forums you can find! The largest Mustang sites in the world? Lots of good stuff, many forums for your particular interest. Parts, tools, and most everything else you could want for working on your classic. Another great site for parts, accessories, and what-have-yous. Homercidal's Molasses Rust Removing Pages.

Engine Pull

http://www.homercidal.com/12-29-06.htm

Weekend of December 29, 2006. New Engine and Stuff. Ok, I have not got the other side done before end of fall, but at least I got a good start on it. Man, I need my own garage! This time I got the passenger side aprons and shock towers removed and sandblasted. I got most of the frame rail rot cut out and repaired, with one peice left to weld in. I'm also starting the process of building a custom billet aluminum steering wheel grip, since I tore apart the one that came on the car.
