Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log: May 2013

http://www.homeschoolforainsleyandian.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Found all of these for between 75 cents and $2 each at McKays. Stacks of books make me so happy. Also pictures of stacks of books. I can't wait to start reading these with her. So I've had to exercise tremendous self control to keep from just sitting down and reading all of these by myself. I don't think I read any of these as a kid? I know I saw some television adaptations. We read one chapter of Socks. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

http://www.homeschoolforainsleyandian.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log. Friday, November 30, 2012. Putting together December's calendar. We are doing this. Her thankful board - end of the month. We didn't do one every single day, but she enjoyed it. And she got practice with writing and spelling. Thursday, November 29, 2012. Found this just now. The whole set bowing down before baby Jesus. Monday, November 19, 2012. Second time around on this activity. I guess it's hard to argue with skittles. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She finally did it.

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log: January 2013

http://www.homeschoolforainsleyandian.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log. Thursday, January 31, 2013. They played with the sensory bins again. I took out the stars and planets and all that was left was black beans, rice, and some sparkly jewels. So she got right to work:. Friday, January 25, 2013. Finished solar system model. Everything is not to scale, obviously. We used a couple packs of assorted styrofoam balls from Walmart so we just did the best we could with the sizes we had. Top left corner is the sun. Clearly, we are enjoying this.

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log: Scrabble Slam

http://www.homeschoolforainsleyandian.blogspot.com/2014/02/scrabble-slam.html

Ainsley and Ian's Homeschool Log. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. I'd never heard of this game, but I found a deck (still wrapped in plastic! In the junk bin at Goodwill. I could see it had letters on it so I knew it had potential even if I couldn't find out what it's original intention was or if we didn't follow the rules. But I looked it up and it wasn't hard to find. It's fun! March 16, 2014 at 5:17 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

My Fine Home: August 2013

http://myfinehome.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Black and white therapy. And I've finally got most things put away and organized. When you go from a house to a 1-bedroom apartment to a 2-bedroom apartment, all your stuff cannot always be used the same way. and there are never the same number of drawers or cabinets. it takes a few days for my brain to process it all. Where should this go. How should this be used. Where is this going to fit. Hey, markers cannot be left just lying around, you know. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My Fine Home: April 2014

http://myfinehome.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 28, 2014. Sorry for not having much to report last week. The crews worked most of the week all day and late into the evenings on the drywall mudding. And then sanding it all down. We went inside some, but mostly we stayed out of their way. Today we picked out the granite color. It's a dark color, mostly black, but there is a lot of brown in it too,. Which I hope will go well with all of the wood tones but still provide a good contrast. Also, I feel compelled to mention, I am not. To commemo...

Monday, September 30, 2013. Because I'm the kind of girl who takes pictures of bugs. Friday, September 27, 2013. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Yet more late night thoughts on moving and looking for random things. I just wanted to find my paints. My box of cheap Apple Barrel-brand acrylic craft paints. In colors I probably no longer like. And I could have sworn there were two blank canvases packed away with them as well. But I wasn’t entirely. But I’d got it in my head that I really wanted them. Somehow I ...

My Fine Home: February 2014

http://myfinehome.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Tuesday, week 6. Today was one of those days where the schedule left just enough space between appointments to have time to kill but not enough time to go home. we all hit the dentist at 8, then violin at 11, and the concrete was scheduled to start at 1. it was a relatively nice day, so we parked in the yard and the kids collected sweet gum balls. Also noteworthy - I said, "go collect sweet gum balls" and they actually did. Later, she built a lean-to. Monday, February 24, 2014.
