Homeschoolingdownunder: November 2011

http://homeschoolingdownunder.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 20, 2011. Home tired and dirty after a great weekend! Euphemisms and their overuse. Saturday, November 19, 2011. Another visitor with wings. This parrot visited our yard today. It was very friendly with our love bird and not overly nervous around humans. We wondered if it had escaped from an aviary nearby. But as it seemed to be managing quite well on its own we decided to leave it free rather than attempt to catch it. Friday, November 18, 2011. Tchaikovsky and other Russians. And the ou...

This is our first excursion this term. Then there were 3. Now there are 4! Don't you just love the hive of activity in the foreground and the uni students in the background looking tired from all their studies in the world of academia! Waratah means red flowering tree. The House at H Corner: August 2012

http://house-at-h-corner.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

The House at H Corner. Monday, August 13, 2012. I'm not going to worry about the fact I am so behind blogging school. I am just going to try to start doing it again, because I really value the record, especially as we don't always have something "on paper" from even some of the most productive lessons. As we are especially interested in eyes at the moment from my surgery last week (only 5 days ago and already I am back in the homeschool saddle, so that is encouraging! We then tried some activities design...

The House at H Corner. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Little Miss August 2009 turned 1 this week! How is that possible? School has been rather "natural" recently, still included Bible study (a bit! Maths, handwriting practice, creative writing, D&T, art and craft, lots of great life lessons, and special family time tho. Currently investigating idea of more bookwork to add to what is still good. Random Thoughts: January 2010

http://mezza-randomthoughts.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

My journey towards destination Europe. Saturday, January 16, 2010. Embracing all kinds of things. A word that won't leave me is. So, I am going to embrace that word as the word to see me through this year. I have recently embraced. Approx 17,000 bees that decided to make the rosebush, outside my bedroom window, their new home. Mum, there are some bees outside.". MUM, there are quite a few bees outside! What part of 'whatever' are you having trouble with? So, I went and had a look and this is what I found.

Random Thoughts: January 2009

http://mezza-randomthoughts.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

My journey towards destination Europe. Friday, January 30, 2009. They offered me the contract. And I gratefully accepted. I thank the lord. I thank Sharon (the principal from my last school)who was in the right place at the right time and recommended me for this position. God orchestrated that one. I thank the Principal from this school who worked really hard (and pulled a lot of strings) so that I could get that little name badge which identifies me as belonging. And do you know what really blessed me?

Random Thoughts: Being Ok with less than perfect.

http://mezza-randomthoughts.blogspot.com/2010/01/being-ok-with-less-than-perfect.html

My journey towards destination Europe. Sunday, January 10, 2010. Being Ok with less than perfect. Once upon a time, quite some time ago, a wanna - be -quilter began a new adventure. I chose the colours with what can only be described as manic zeal. Saint Linds prompted, prodded, tutored and threatened me until I had actually sewn the strips together. And that was as far as I got! Just last week, as I was going through my 'stuff', I stumble upon my masterpiece. There was a lesson in this for me. So, I am ...

Random Thoughts: menopausal madness

http://mezza-randomthoughts.blogspot.com/2009/06/menopausal-madness.html

My journey towards destination Europe. Saturday, June 6, 2009. So sorry for the slackness in my postings. I believe I have a reasonable excuse. You see - I have been busy - in fact I have been busy, busy busy. Although it has not been confirmed with a blood test - I am fairly confident that I have IT. If it turns out that I am mistaken - then I am in BIG BIG trouble. Hot flushes - occasionally. Night Sweats - that's a negative. Loss of Libido -? Vaginal Dryness - private (surely). Weight gain - why not?
