Mulga Ridge: December 2009
http://mulgaridge.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 22 December 2009. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I've been meaning to do a post about our nativity set and I figured I'd better do it. Christmas, as opposed to doing it. Christmas when I'm packing it away, which would be normal for me. About three years ago (I think) I came across a set all of a sudden (I wasn't actually looking for one at the time) and knew that this was. Here is the first photo of the complete set. My favourite are the Wise Men and the Camels. To avoid confusion I'm...

My Life at Home: December 2011
http://janerao.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
My Life at Home. Monday, December 26, 2011. Well this past month has panned out differently to what I expected. Busy of course, Kalyani finishing up school, having a friend stay for a week, a family wedding and getting ready for Christmas. The unexpected bit, which should really be expected now, was all of us being unwell for a good part of the month. Gastro, viruses and a very inflamed, painful back for me. Have a great Christmas and New Year's break everyone! Friday, December 2, 2011. This week I tried.

My Life at Home: A blue, banded bee in the vegie garden!
http://janerao.blogspot.com/2012/01/blue-banded-bee-in-vegie-garden.html
My Life at Home. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. A blue, banded bee in the vegie garden! My buy of the week. My find of the week. A blue, banded bee. Apparently the unusual looking white and black bee that's been hanging around my vegie garden is not a rogue bee after all but a native one. Even better is that this bee is an efficient pollinators of plants such as tomatoes and chilli because it uses a technique called buzz pollination. Of the week and always. 11 months old and such a darling! Book of the week.

My Life at Home. Saturday, February 25, 2012. 12 Ways to Help You Sleep Better. Are you like me and call yourself a poor sleeper. That even when you know you have a full day ahead of you and need the rest, you can't seem to fall asleep. And even though you know you will probably be woken up at least once during the night so you really need to rest, you can't go to sleep. When you try to get to bed at an early time, you can still end up lying there for a hour or more. Ok, that is me! Ok since I have gone ...

My Life at Home. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Quick and Easy Dinner Recipe. We are having my version of this. So I have needed to find very quick and easy meals to cook that don't require a lot of time on my feet. This one looked suitable. I used about a cup of kidney beans I had pre-cooked, 3 tomatoes I diced, diced onion, crushed fresh garlic, handful of thyme from the garden, salt and freshly ground black pepper. Only hope the family likes it. They are not always that fond of beans. A very quick post.

Mulga Ridge: October 2009
http://mulgaridge.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 October 2009. Return of the Dirt Magnet. We've had some great rain here over the last few days, but its meant the boys, especially Caleb, have been cooped up inside the house a little more then usual. Today was the day they had to be released, as the boy-energy inside the house was reaching unsafe levels. Preparing for the worst, they were all packed up into old clothes and boots. This time it took Caleb five minutes to reach the point of no return. He's slipping. Friday, 16 October 2009.
