Nothing Gold Can Stay. Mar 30th, 2009 at 1:01 PM. I am so delighted to have been a part of this first Orthodox Home schooling Conference. The Speakers were wonderful and the vendors were quite good too. I am so excited about using Journaling throughout the Liturgical Year! Thank you Barbara Shukin. For putting together such a unique publication for our Orthodox children! There are so many thoughts running through my head! What’s most important is the establishment of their faith. I am very excited!

Gingham and Calico: September 2011
http://ginghamandcalico.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Reminiscing on life with two delightfully different daughters. Friday, September 23, 2011. Anecdote from the Archive. I came across this story from a number of years ago. It's remarkable that Calico was playing with worms at all, but this was very typical of Gingham:. This one's named Peter because he has a hot temper (she loves the apostle Peter - I guess that worm was the wiggliest) and the rest are all named Rose.". The house is a lovely cardboard A-frame on which Gingham had written "the has uv Worms...
Gingham and Calico: July 2010
http://ginghamandcalico.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Reminiscing on life with two delightfully different daughters. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. 4-H at the Fair. Monday was the long-awaited county fair day for us. We scouted out the girls' 4-H entries, then headed for the Farmyard Experience where our club was manning the stations from 8-10 pm. Calico's favorite station was the rabbit-petting table. Gingham preferred the petting zoo, but all my photos there were mist-spotted, so here she is in the toddler play yard. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Clash of the Titans.

Misty's Musings
This used to be a blog about homeschooling. Now it's a blog about life which happens to include homeschooling. Tuesday, September 03, 2013. Oh my word, I am so glad that I chose to go there for my first trip out of the United States. So much history. It's incredible to be standing in the midst of that. Then we hosted a lovely young lady from France named Cyrielle. She was very kind and polite. Cami spent about ten days with her family near Paris. They took her everywhere! This is Cyrielle in Disney World.

Journey into Home Schooling
Saturday, August 25, 2012. I have no excuse as to why I have not updated this blog since the start of last school year:( I guess the only thing I can blame it on is just being busy, and just not taking the time to do so. I can only hope to do better this year. We have made it! I am so very thankful to live in a BIG homeschool community (my church included). Very blessed in that area! A quick run down of what each of the kids will be doing this year. At home he will have Algebra 2, Spanish, Vocab. We will...
