Little rants and vents when I need a place to say how I'm feeling. Larr; Pneumonia and SATs. This is what I’m talking about. September 30, 2010. Since I wrote one of my earlier blogs, pharmacist friends have come out of the woodwork, telling me their stories, and the frustrations they have with our “increased scope of practice.” Here’s a case study in why a pharmacist may be frustrated by pharmacist prescribing. 1901 Prescribing may be categorized as. A) Adapting a prescription. A) be satisfied that it i...

Little rants and vents when I need a place to say how I'm feeling. Larr; On Being Plastic. October 18, 2010. I read a number of articles in the Globe and Mail on Saturday (sorry, boss….yes, I was at work whilst reading said articles) about how boys are not being well served in our schools at present. The link is below, and there are many bunny trails to follow, as the series is going on all week. Is education being feminized? Five reasons boys may be failing. Do you think we may be setting up these boys ...

Little rants and vents when I need a place to say how I'm feeling. Larr; This is what I’m talking about. Stupid lies my patients told me. September 29, 2010. This post has nothing whatsoever to do with either homeschooling or pharmacy. But I love words, evoking emotion and feeling and ambiance with words, and Marcus received an e-mail last night that did just that. I asked for permission to offer this particular little essay for any and all who wander here. I’ve been wanting to meet you! Fill in your det...

Little rants and vents when I need a place to say how I'm feeling. Is this homeschooling mother fooling herself? April 22, 2011. I’m kind of sitting here, mulling over the kind of surreal feeling this is invoking. How did I all of a sudden end up with a girl who’s attending a boy-girl party on a Friday night, celebrating someone’s 16th birthday? Ten years ago, this same girl was just newly toilet trained. And this summer, she’s travelling to Europe to play violin with her youth orchestra? March 13, 2011.

Not Again….. | Mozart Nerd
https://mozartnerd.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/not-again
The odd ramblings of a nerdy violinist who happens to like yarn. Skip to primary content. About the Mozart Nerd. October 21, 2012. I’m doing that thing where I listen to Josh Groban and write stuff. YAY MEE OMGOMGOMGOMG ME SO KOOL. So yeah, I suck, it’s okay. Then one of my friends cut himself trying to open an almond with a Swiss Army knife, and we all felt bad. My church is weird. Or maybe its just my view of things that is weird, I don’t know. I don’t understand people. Or life. Well, I really enjoy t...

Homeschool Philosophy
I love to discuss homeschooling, almost as much as I love to do it! Monday, February 28, 2011. I don't know if this is a homeschooling topic, per se, or just a parenting one, but I would love to have a conversation about Alfie Kohn. I have read two of his books, Unconditional Parenting. And Punished by Rewards. Both are excellent - easily my favorite parenting books. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. I've been reading Charlotte Mason's book.
