I don’t want this to be a long, drawn-out rehashing of what our family went through Thanksgiving Week but I do want to record the highs and lows and the special memories that took place as we said ‘goodbye’ to our wonderful Dad. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. The Gift of Time. It’s been 24 weeks since I last blogged. I lost interest. I was tired. I felt like I didn’t have anything fun, high-strung or witty left to say. Giving honor to Juju’s 72 laps felt like a good way to put the cancer to bed, so to speak. But here we are. Approaching the anniversary of that time in our lives that was the bleakest. And we find ourselves asking, how are we going to get through these holidays when the grief is still there? Links to this post.

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Cream or Coffee Grinds? I am currently waging an epic battle in my life with negativity. It’s not a new thing. I usually admit that I see the glass “half-empty”, that Juju is the “nice sister” and that grudges stay with me for a long time. Even when I proclaim to be “over it”, I can rattle off the details of the offense quicker than a fly gets to honey. Forgiveness is hard for me.
