Skip to main content. Upkeep and Repair Program. Seniors pay a $25 service fee and are asked to reimburse H.O.M.E. for materials, but the labor is free. In 2014, 49% of our Home Upkeep and Repair clients reported that they would have gone without the repairs if our services had not been available. HOME also provides free home repairs to seniors as a delegate agency in the Chicago Department of Planning and Development’s Small Accessible Repairs for Seniors program (SARFS). Skip to main content. HOME's wheelchair-accessible shopping bus serves older adults living in senior buildings throughout Chicago. Seniors are given free, safe transport from their residence to a nearby store where they can shop for groceries, medication and household items. They are then taken back to their residence where our driver helps them with their packages and ensures they are safe and secure before leaving. We provided 3,156 individual shopping trips on our bus. Get on the (Shopping) Bus!
