Countryside Wedding: Bridesmaids Dresses Head to Head: THE FINAL
http://countrysideweddings.blogspot.com/2007/10/bridesmaids-dresses-head-to-head-final.html
For a homespun marriage. Saturday, October 20, 2007. Bridesmaids Dresses Head to Head: THE FINAL. So, what do you do when you have scoured the pattern books, scoured the shop racks, scoured the blogs, the websites and the magazines, tried on many samples 'just to see' with your bridesmaids and finally, achingly, very nearly, got it down to two contenders? You have a head-to-head. Vs Vogue Patterns 8285. Interesting neckline, princess seams, full-ish skirt suitable for heavy silk dupion fabric. The shrug ...

Countryside Wedding: Navy+Patent+Leather+£20=SMUG BRIDE
http://countrysideweddings.blogspot.com/2007/11/navypatentleather20smug-bride.html
For a homespun marriage. Wednesday, November 07, 2007. Navy Patent Leather £20=SMUG BRIDE. One job down, 4,218,838 jobs to go. The gorgeous loveliness above ticks every box I had in my head for the older girls:. Comfortable heel height without stilleto or kitten heel (bleurgh). Round toe without scary points or harsh angles. Ankle strap for comfort and ease of style. Of course, at £20 a pair, these sort out the Sister and the Best Friend in one fell swoop. The fact that they are now online.

Countryside Wedding: December 2013
http://countrysideweddings.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
For a homespun marriage. Monday, December 16, 2013. Goes the Birthday Girl! It’s been four years and my precociously fabulous daughter turned four last week…. And what does a precociously fabulous 4 year old request? A Cow Cake of course. A bit of sugarpaste, a bit of chopstick action to support ears and horns and done! Tasty too, if I do say so myself! For a homespun marriage. Monday, January 28, 2013. Fresh Modern and Fabulously Made! Having been brought up on a rounded diet of dressmaking and quilts, I have a healthy respect for the traditions and stories behind patterns and structures of patchwork. Living around the corner from Bird in Hand. And having a quilting teacher for a mum ensured I am well versed in the Bear’s Paws. And Double Weddings Rings. Abundant in textiles history. Owl by Flying Blind on a Rocket Cycle. Square Lawn by Sew Much To Do.

Countryside Wedding: Crafting and Copycats
http://countrysideweddings.blogspot.com/2014/03/crafting-and-copycats.html
For a homespun marriage. Wednesday, March 05, 2014. Busy busy and trying not to be busy…. Bump’s due any day now so my version of nesting involves hiring a cleaner to blitz the house and busying myself with sewing, knitting and crochet projects instead. This is my Victory Jumper. An attempt to use 9 balls of Debbie Bliss Rialto 4ply in one pattern… Desperately hoping I don’t run out of yarn as this is supposed to be stash-busting rather than stash-swapping. Lovely pattern from the Royal Sisters blog here.

For a homespun marriage. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Ikea gets its craft on. A recent trip to Ikea found me impressed by (and not a little bit expectant of) the range of crafty nods throughout the store…. The powers that be have noticed, it seems, that their various storage solutions are perfect for the home crafter – and have also increased their stock of specific craft supplies too…. Repurposed for craft materials…. Mock craft room in a bureau – Hemnes. Applied to a plain cushion…. Soon, too…. Simple t...

My Shop Firefly Farm Goods. Wednesday, February 28, 2018. It's a warm, blustery, 60 degrees F, on this last day of February. On our walk I noticed a dandelion in bloom and, in my garden, the tulips are starting to push up out of the soil. The bud's are swelling on the lilac bushes, and we heard the very first Canadian geese fly overhead last week. There is also a winter storm watch for this weekend! Links to this post. Corners of my home. Tuesday, December 12, 2017. The week before Thanksgiving we starte...

Picture Frame Jewelry/Hair Accessory Holder for CHEAP or FREE! April 19, 2012. I was in desperate need of some organization of my things. Seriously. Look:. First cut your wire accordingly. Spray paint it if you want to and then staple it to the frame. Ideally, you would want to use a staple gun for this. My frame is made of pine, which is a soft wood, so the staple went right in. twist & turn | Artisan knitter rambling about her London life in general
Artisan knitter rambling about her London life in general. The summer is creeping back in our psyche again! I would have been skipping with joy if there were no one on the street. Wipsy clouds were dancing above me as they had no care in the world under a gorgeous blue canopy which stretches as far as my eyes could see. It was just so lovely to have my cheeks caressed by a warm breeze instead of being slapped around by chilly sharp gusts! I do it all the time! I just threw my towel in…. Buffets and Recep...

Daring Bakers March 2009 Challenge – Lasagne of Emilia-Romagna. March 26, 2009. The March 2009 challenge is hosted by Mary of Beans and Caviar. Melinda of Melbourne Larder. And Enza of Io Da Grande. They have chosen Lasagne of Emilia-Romagna from The Splendid Table by Lynne Rossetto Kasper as the challenge. The recipe can be found at either one of the hostesses’ blogs. This was my first Daring Bakers Challenge and when I first saw that the recipe was I was terrified! I had pasta hanging around everywhere!
