Horsing Around: Hygromas
http://ruhorsingaround.blogspot.com/2008/02/hygromas.html
Horse ownership for dummies, like me. Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Humm, the above is the Vet term for a contusion, or lump. Well, Tamara has a small hygroma. That has formed underneath her injured hock. No puncture wound. Probably trauma induced, bumped against something or stood up wrong. Good news is, no lameness. Bad news is, no riding. I'm rubbing it down daily with ointment. Placing a cold pack on it. It's back to wait and see. TAG - you're it! Check out my blog for details. View my complete profile.

Horsing Around: The Pitfalls of a New Idea
http://ruhorsingaround.blogspot.com/2008/02/pitfalls-of-new-idea.html
Horse ownership for dummies, like me. Saturday, February 2, 2008. The Pitfalls of a New Idea. Continued from On Hoof Boots. Well, not so. New if you live in the States. Hoof Boots, as I understand it, have been around in some shape or form since the 70's. But here in Germany, among a people who - at least in their own. Minds- see themselves as the world's greatest. Equestrians, hoof boots are greeted with skepticism. First of all, Hoof Boots were not developed in. Germany; a big minus. On the third week.

Political Coffee Grinds: January 2008
http://politicalcoffeegrinds.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Just one more grind at the bottom of the cup. Thursday, January 31, 2008. McCain, Romney spar before Super Tuesday. There is no true. Democracy in America. That fact is reflected with crystal clarity by the biased actions of the powerful American media. The American people have been manipulated since the beginning of the U.S. presidential primary season, ( well, actually a little longer. Then that) and tonight in California in all came to fruition. In case no-one noticed, it was all. As far as this blogg...

Political Coffee Grinds: Germans reject U.S. troops request
http://politicalcoffeegrinds.blogspot.com/2008/02/germans-reject-us-troops-request.html
Just one more grind at the bottom of the cup. Saturday, February 2, 2008. Germans reject U.S. troops request. I live in Germany by the way. I know just how stubborn. And mule headed they can be. I married. One Fact his, Germany has a troubled social welfare state. To support, so they can't go running around plugging up holes where the American military can't. It's that simple. Berlin has a military budget that most Germans would like to see reduced. Of them find jobs. That means they can't pay. Has sugge...

Horsing Around: Saturday Morning Post
http://ruhorsingaround.blogspot.com/2008/02/saturday-morning-post.html
Horse ownership for dummies, like me. Friday, February 15, 2008. SorryI've been working on my other hobby over at Youtube. When I'm not riding.I'm trying. To play the guitar. A little "Tamara" update- She's improving. Yes the little knot is still on her leg, but it doesn't seem to be hindering her at all. In fact, she's been instigating most of the ruckus that goes on in the pasture between all three horses. Riding in muddy conditions with hoof boots is probably not. February 17, 2008 at 5:49 AM. Conside...

Horsing Around: On Hoof Boots
http://ruhorsingaround.blogspot.com/2008/02/on-horse-boots.html
Horse ownership for dummies, like me. Friday, February 1, 2008. Look, there's always a new gimmick out on the market that promises big results if you use it on your horse. Everything from herbal remedies to bitless bridles. Some of the stuff might work, depending on the horse. It's like the barefoot. Craze Yeah, some. Horses can go barefoot with little or no problems but, not all. Tamara is in the "not all" category. That's why the hoof boot. Caught my attention. Well, one. A week; I didn't have. Hoofs, ...

Horsing Around: On your feet!
http://ruhorsingaround.blogspot.com/2008/01/on-your-feet.html
Horse ownership for dummies, like me. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Continued from. The Nightmare Begins. There have been a few occasions when I felt helpless. Happened. The third time came when I saw my big beautiful horse laying on the ground looking as if she were near death. It was July, and it was hot, but luckily she had walked to the shade of the feed shelter before. She collapsed. I just looked at the ballooned hock in disbelief; possible culprits racing through my head. An insect bite? Within the...
