200 amp service panel. 0:18 am thursday september 20, 2001. I am building a 12x12 cabin in the middle of nowhere, and I have a 200 amp main breaker at the pole I am running the underground cable from. Do I need an underground cable that can carry 200 amps, as well as a circuit panel with a 200 amp main breaker, or can I reduce everything down to 100 amps or so? I have completed the rough wiring, and any info on the size of a circuit panel and underground wire I need to finish the project would be helpful.

Mystery hot K- &- T in the attic. 12:52 pm wednesday september 5, 2001. Hi I recently bought a small 1890 victorian in Massachusetts. The whole upstairs including all the BX in the attic is on a single circuit. (I'm using one of those AC detector pens to find the live wires, but I haven't measured the voltage in these with a meter yet.). Clue #1: There is a single bra...

Wiring up a can light. 0:29 am wednesday september 19, 2001. Re: Wiring up a can light. 12:17 pm wednesday september 19, 2001. This means that the breaker or fuse must be rated in amps equal to and must not be higher amp rated than the smallest wire on that circuit. This is true no matter whether this is a single light fixture or switch l...

11:39 pm saturday september 1, 2001. I am adding an enlarged entryway onto my home. The approximate square footage is 120 feet. I would like to have 4 outlets inside, one outside outlet, one light fixer inside with three- way switch accessibility, and a motion detection light with manual override for the outside. Is this too much for one circuit? Or should I have the lights and outlets on two different circuits? 2:20 pm sunday september 2, 2001. To go to the main page of the Home Wiring Site , click HERE.
