Book Discussion Chat Room. March 11: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. Mara Dyer believes life can't get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there. She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed. She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to the Homewood Public Library's online book discussion!

Homewood Public Library Online Book Discussion: How This Works
http://hplonline.blogspot.com/p/how-this-works.html
Book Discussion Chat Room. There will be a post about the upcoming book for the month. It will include a picture of the book and a synopsis from goodreads.com, when the book will be available to pick up at the Homewood Public Library, and the actual discussion date. FYI: The Chat room works best in the Mozilla Firefox browser. If you do not already have it, you can get it here (it's awesome): http:/ www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/. If you have any questions you can email us as supernatural.

Homewood Public Library Online Book Discussion: We have an announcement!
http://hplonline.blogspot.com/2015/02/we-have-announcement.html
Book Discussion Chat Room. We have an announcement! We've decided to broaden our book discussion by transitioning to being a general online book discussion. This means we'll be discussing books from all genres and age groups, but geared toward adults. There will still be some supernatural thrown into the mix, but we'll be discussing all types of books starting this summer. We'll also be doing our movie/book tie in again this year so keep a look out for more information on that. We have an announcement!

http://hplonline.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Book Discussion Chat Room. January 14: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days. The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now. Books are available behind the circulation desk.

http://hplonline.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Book Discussion Chat Room. We're very excited about the new trend of YA books being turned into movies, especially because there are plenty of supernatural books being hitting the big screen. So to do something fun this summer, the Online Supernatural Book Discussion is going off-line. And into the library! We will be reading 3 books that have recently been made into blockbuster movies and then watching the movie right after the book discussion. Registration is not required. Snacks will be provided.
