Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Reflections on Nouwen's "In the Name of Jesus". The following tweets are reflections on “In the Name of Jesus” by Henri Nouwen. Less than a minute ago. Student ministry would look more like an internship for faithful living than a classroom. Less than a minute ago. The church would have to learn to trust it’s teens with the responsibility of real ministry. Less than a minute ago. Youth Directors would have to learn how to accept love from teenagers, not just the other way around.

Homeward Bound: On football, music, and procrastination

http://www.homewrdbnd.blogspot.com/2010/10/on-football-music-and-procrastination.html

Saturday, October 2, 2010. On football, music, and procrastination. Today was a Saturday. And what does Saturday in October mean? That's right, football. Before I moved to Mississippi I thought that I was a pretty avid sports fan, giving my fair share of support to football. Not even close! The people here in MS are absolutely crazy about their football. CRAZY! But on a good note, I am going back to Raleigh for fall break this weekend. I'll be going to see the Avett Brothers in concert, going to an N...

Homeward Bound: The Year in Review

http://www.homewrdbnd.blogspot.com/2010/12/year-in-review.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. The Year in Review. I am currently a proud student in the Center for Youth Ministry Training, which by default makes me a student at Memphis Theological Seminary and a Youth Director at a local church in Mississippi. This semester has been one of excitement, joy, disappointment, loneliness, and growth. Looking forward to the year of 2011 I do not know what God has in store for me, but what I am confident of is the love of my Savior and the hope of his reign. 171; Older Post.

Homeward Bound: New Years Post

http://www.homewrdbnd.blogspot.com/2010/12/new-years-post.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. It has been quite a while since I posted anything. Things got really busy this semester and I never got around to blogging. It happens. I feel, though, that there is no better time to start blogging again than New Years. Call it a resolution if you want, I sure as poo won't. I have a strong dislike for resolutions. http://fosterandstella.blogspot.com/2010/08/dc-chillin.html

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. On our way from the airport to the hotel! My cute outfit before the sweat. Powerful Vietnam Reflection Wall. Honest Abe. Very moving (his words on the either side of the memorial). Amazing view of the Washington Memorial from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. That's right, Kirk Cameron! He was interviewing someone. Mike Seaver! He wanted me to stop taking pictures of him. Psh, please. 3D glasses are the most ridiculous things ever. And hilarious. I got a little sassy. Simple ...

foster&stella: My First First Friday Show

http://fosterandstella.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-first-first-friday-show.html

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. My First First Friday Show. My dear helper, Dom. My table was so small compared to the others! Sorry, I've had these photos in my computer for awhile. This was the First Friday of August. Each first Friday of every month, there is an empty store front that provides a space for artists to set up tables and sell their items. So, I set up my tiny little table and sold some goods. It was a blast and so many family and friends came by to support me! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, October 24, 2009. Cameron and Christine getting ready for the swings to take off. Pray for safety. Mid air on the swings. Erin on the swings. Silly face from Miss Grace Elizabeth. Welcome back to Raleigh! Gracie was getting so excited about the Catepillar Roller Coaster. Precious! So excited about the roller coaster, she's pulling her daddy's hair! This "band" covered The Electric Slide. Amazing. My favorite thing at the fair. Heaven in the form of mini doughnuts covered in cinnamon sugar.

http://fosterandstella.blogspot.com/2010/09/still-here.html

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Hello my loyal readers (all 6 of you). I'm sorry I haven't posted. I know how annoying it is when you have a blog on your list that never updates! I have had so many fun things going on I just haven't been able to sit and write about them! I've had some new projects, a new small group, dates with my love, puppies that are so precious I can't stop kissing them, and serving at church. Lots of fun things, and no photos. Sorry, I'm so bad about that. September 28, 2010 at 7:30 PM.

Thursday, August 26, 2010. I made a batch of homemade ginger snaps that were absolutely amazing! I mean, I'm not tooting my own horn, I just followed the recipe. Except I used whole wheat flour and replaced shortening with veg oil). Also, I bought myself some flowers and arranged this bunch for my living room. Flowers are just so happy, I love them. Enjoy your Thursday evening. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. On our way from the airport to the hotel! My cute outfit before the sweat. I got a little sassy.

http://fosterandstella.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Glimpse of my studio/art room. My uncle gave me this great dress form that's currently snuggled up with my scarves. Our art wall has art from my mom, my grandmommie, dear Marley Ungaro, talented Meredith Cox, and yours truly. My parents' farmhouse table serves as my work space and it's topped with tools of the trade. This great fan stands in front of my centerpiece from my senior art show; a screen printed/quilted fabric wrapped around a custom made frame (thanks babe). 5 Your Lo...
