Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff. Welcome to my blog about HK and Macau film locations. Monday, August 3, 2015. Soldier, Soldier - Robson Green (1992) - Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. There's a scene where Tucker's (Robson Green's character) wife, Donna, queues up to catch the bus into Sai Kung. The bus route and sign seem to be in order - because there is a #94 bus that runs between Sai Kung and Wong Shek Pier - but the place she is catching it is way off the mark: Haiphong Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. Im pretty...

Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff. Welcome to my blog about HK and Macau film locations. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Soldier, Soldier - Robson Green (1992) - Fuk Hing Bridge, Pak Tam Chung. Here's a location that should be familiar with anyone who follows my Bruce Lee exploits because I was able to identify it as the filming location for Lee's outdoor BTS footage that was cobbled into the final print of Unicorn Fist. Anyway, in this episode called Lifelines. Location: Sai Kung, Hong Kong. The folk museum is gr...

Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff. Welcome to my blog about HK and Macau film locations. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Soldier, Soldier - Robson Green (1992) - Kai Tak Airport, Kowloon. A quick glimpse of Kai Tak as Jerome Flynn heads off to meet his new wife in the form of Holly Aird. At this point, for most foreign film companies would cut to the obligatory aircraft on its final approach over Kowloon, but with Soldier, Soldier. We just jump straight to the tarmac and also get a quick shot inside the terminal.

Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff. Welcome to my blog about HK and Macau film locations. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Chinese Box - Jeremy Irons (1997) - Pak Fuk Road, North Point. In the scene when Irons and his buddy ride the latter's bike up to the Peak, we catch a brief glance of what we are led to believe is the route up there but is in fact located quite a significant distance away on Braemar Hill in North Point. Bedford Gardens seen from Pak Fuk Rd. Tin Hau Temple Road. Location: Tsat Tsz Mui, Hong Kong.

Ten Tigers of Kwang Tung - Lung Ha Wan. The entire film was shot at the Shaw Brothers Studios, with the exception of the closing scene. The location is not far from the studios and directly next to a street (Lung Ha Wan Road), so i guess it was a pretty quick shoot. Your Window Into Hong Kong Cinema. Sunday, February 15, 2015. A Hero Never Dies Blu Ray Vs DVD Comparison. After waiting what felt like an eternity, my copy of the AHND Japanese blu ray arrived last Friday, over a month after it's release date. I normally have plenty of time for Yesasia, but on this occasion they really dropped the ball, and so for anything similar in future, I will be going with Amazon Japan. The dvd shot will be first followed by the blu ray, click the pic for the full size version.

Hong Kong Movie Tours: SCORES
http://hongkongmovietours.blogspot.com/p/score.html
A lot of oldschool kung-fu films don't have specially composed soundtracks. The filmmakers simply used the scores from other films and/or relied on library music. Here are some of the sources:. One piece of music from Rod McKuen's beautiful score for "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" (1969) can also be heard during one of the training sequences in "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow". If you don't have the time to listen to it in its entirety - just skip to minute 9:00. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Captain America...

Hong Kong and Beyond. Friday, March 27, 2009. TIGER LEAPING GORGE AND THE TREK HOME. We had only two days left before Richard needed to return to Hong Kong for his flight to the US but the gorge was only about 3 hours from Li Jiang by bus. The gorge was cut by the Yangtze River and was the only remaining untamed part of this river. Westerners have bee trekking there for 10 or 20 years and a road has been put through at about midlevel. Of course, the other side of the gorge was shear and vertical, so it w...

Hong Kong (& Macau) Stuff. Thursday, 6 August 2015. And then there were three.the end of Tung Tak Pawn Shop. Its fate was decided some time back and even when I included it in this post about shophouses. In general, I was aware it had been slated for the wreckers ball. But still, its a great shame that a stylish and historic building such as this will just end up being replaced by some bland glass box to match all the other new buildings in Hong Kong.
