http://jendoesdelhi.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Jen does Delhi with VSO. Saturday, 20 November 2010. There are, generally, two tourist India’s. The five star luxury where you don’t see much of the real India at all. You pay through the nose for this and if you ventured into your hotel’s kitchen you might get the idea you weren’t in a decent hotel at all. Friday, 12 November 2010. Recently I went on a Vipassana. We both agreed I was a bit unlucky though in the end the result was pretty much the same. And hung out learning all about yoga and other spiri...

Jen does Delhi with VSO: January 2011
http://jendoesdelhi.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Jen does Delhi with VSO. Thursday, 6 January 2011. The End of an Era.Adieu! But the first few days were odd. I had to eat about four bacon sandwiches over the first few days in order to satiate my cravings. I had to remember to put toilet paper into the loo and not in the nearest available wastepaper basket. I spent a lot of time emailing, calling friends and visiting. To complete these musings, here are the things I wished I'd written about and didn't have time:. Climate change in India. Why people get ...

http://jendoesdelhi.blogspot.com/2010/10/let-games-commence.html
Jen does Delhi with VSO. Sunday, 17 October 2010. Let the Games commence…. I missed out on my swimming ticket due to a rescheduling of the Coimbatore interpreter training. I’d had a few emails whilst I was away asking if the atmosphere in Delhi had changed due to the Commonwealth Games. I was lucky enough to return by plane rather than endure another 42 hour train journey. A few days later and it was time for some badders. With every match featuring either England or India it was going to be a good d...

A Royal Rajasthani Reawakening. Monday, 26 April 2010. Adapting to the heat. My new family say they are surprised how well I'm adapting to the new climate, the heat and a new environment. So how do I survive the heat? Monday, 19 April 2010. Party wear, dress shopping and child marriage. Wednesday, 14 April 2010. How to make Mama's chai. Chai is integral to Indian life, especially here in Laporiya, and from what I can work out, every cook has her (round here at least, it's usually a woman) own signature s...
