Se lo scopo della vacanza è quello di fuggire dalle folle della quotidianità, allora Waikiki (come del resto tutta Honolulu) non è di certo il posto giusto, essendo uno dei luoghi più affollatti al mondo! In ogni caso è il posto giusto se volete conoscere gente nuova!

Honolulu è posta esattamente sul Tropico del Cancro: il clima dell' arcipelago è quindi tropicale. In ogni caso la media delle temperature non presenta notevoli escursioni tra inverno ed estate. Il periodo con le temperature più elevate comprende i mesi di giugno, luglio, agosto, settembre, ottobre (con un picco intorno ai 31 C nel mese di agosto) in cui sono scarsissime anche le precipitazioni. Le temperature nei mesi più freschi (dicembre - febbraio) si mantengono comunque intorno ai 22 C.
