Is it a toy: It's been a while...
http://isitatoy.blogspot.com/2014/04/its-been-while.html
Is it a toy. Amigurumi and other creatures and a little bit more. Wednesday, 16 April 2014. It's been a while. I've not written on this blog for a while, in fact I've been pretty quiet everywhere. But I've been busy too. Here's a little run-down of what I've been up to. For many years now, I've been promising myself a Kenwood Chef and now I have one! Well he wasn't alone! I had rather an invasion of baby turtles! This is a free pattern on Ravelry. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is a Flickr badg...

Is it a toy: Fun with felt
http://isitatoy.blogspot.com/2014/04/fun-with-felt.html
Is it a toy. Amigurumi and other creatures and a little bit more. Saturday, 19 April 2014. My mobile phone, which I've had since 2008 (yes, that's six years ago) has been on the blink for a while. It couldn't find the phone network any more, and in order to send texts from my home, I had to hold it out of the window. Felt is such a wonderful material. It's easy to cut, it doesn't fray, it's thick and soft. I've even received some orders for custom phone cases for my friends and colleagues.

Shabbily Ever After: October 2012
http://vixen307.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Living the simple life. Saturday, 27 October 2012. Links to this post. Monday, 22 October 2012. Michael loves his new hat and carries my handbag round so he can pretend to be Mr Tumbles. Also decided the best place to eat lunch is sat on manma's hatbox on the fireplace, much better than a custom made table (courtesy of Grandad) and a vintage chair. Links to this post. Knitted these little fella's for a dear friend as an advert for her mouseworks soap company on facebook. Links to this post. Hello Dear Re...

Shabbily Ever After: keeping busy...
http://vixen307.blogspot.com/2013/02/keeping-busy.html
Living the simple life. Saturday, 2 February 2013. I have spent a few months making squares and the last 2 weeks decided it was time to start joining. this is number one, coffee and cream. Number 2 is a gift for a friends grandson down south after he kept borrowing the Christmas one I made for his grandma - can't have that he needs one of his own. This is a larger one made from leftovers of my favourite yarns. Im hoping to sell numbers 1 and 3 so cross your fingers for me. 5 March 2013 at 08:54. Subscrib...

Is it a toy: Free flower pattern!
http://isitatoy.blogspot.com/2011/06/free-flower-pattern.html
Is it a toy. Amigurumi and other creatures and a little bit more. Sunday, 19 June 2011. Then I needed to make a flower to decorate it with, and I remembered a flower pattern I'd used for a pram blanket when my children were babies. That meant another search, this time through my own written-up patterns, and I found it! My mother had taken the time to type up the pattern on her old Remington typewriter, it must be around 25 years ago. She typed it on very thin "typing paper" (does anyone remember that?

Is it a toy: Froggy finger puppet pattern
http://isitatoy.blogspot.com/2010/08/froggy-finger-puppet-pattern.html
Is it a toy. Amigurumi and other creatures and a little bit more. Thursday, 26 August 2010. Froggy finger puppet pattern. Originally uploaded by aishakenza. This is a very quick and easy pattern. I used Phildar cotton/bamboo yarn, equivalent to DK, and sew-on 8 mm goggly eyes. Don't. Use the goggly eyes if you're going to give this finger puppet to a very young child as they do represent a choking risk. You'll also need a short strand of black embroidery thread for the mouth. These are the stitches used:.

Is it a toy: Teddy doudou free pattern
http://isitatoy.blogspot.com/2011/07/teddy-doudou-free-pattern.html
Is it a toy. Amigurumi and other creatures and a little bit more. Sunday, 3 July 2011. Teddy doudou free pattern. In France, every small child has its doudou. I've seen all sorts of doudou - anything from an old piece of blanket or pillowcase, to an elaborate multi-coloured velours soft-toy masterpiece. I used one ball of organic cotton in pink and less than half a ball in cream. Of course you can choose the colour you wish, but in the pattern I mention pink and cream so you can follow it more easily.
