The Trials and Tribulations of a Kayak Fisherman. Thursday, October 14, 2010. We headed for the shallows around Beaulieu river and anchored shallow but allowed ourselves to drift over some deeper areas. I caught three tiny Bass, Tim on the other hand not only caught more but some were a lot bigger. I had to be content with some nice photos of a beautiful sunset. Tim with his Bass. Wednesday, 21 November 2012. I entered the annual team bass competition, and to my amazement our team is up there in second place at the moment. The competition is run each year and random teams of four are created with each person being able to enter their best fish (with photographic evidence against the TLF ruler). Quinta-feira, 20 de agosto de 2015. O mês de Agosto é sinónimo de férias, descanso, praia! Mas quando toca a escolher o destino costuma ser uma pequena dor de cabeça. Já não rumava há algum tempo em direcção à Costa Alentejana e isso ajudou na escolha do local para passar uma (muito) curta semana de férias. Pôr-do-sol em Porto Covo. We had a change of venue and launched the Kayaks a couple of miles further up the coast at Calshot. There was a fairly strong southerly breeze and it made fishing from Lepe unsafe. Calshot on the other hand, offered a bit of protection from the wind if launching from the main slipway and heading in the direction of the power station. Tim in the shallows. The Trials and Tribulations of a Kayak Fisherman. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. So I'm a Jinx. The last couple of times I've been out I have been alone and not caught much. Tim on the other hand, and Chris his son, the new kid on block with regards to Kayak fishing, have done rather better. Bass to 3 and a half pounds and some bream. So, I gladly accepted the invite to fish with them and see whether I could learn something from the smug duo. 3 and a half pound Bass. So what about the 3 and half pound Bass?

The Trials and Tribulations of a Kayak Fisherman. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Time coming. So halle bloody lujah and may the pension fund stay healthy. It was encouraging to see that the Mackerel are in at Lepe, the earliest I've seen them in years. I also caught a Bass but not keeper.
