Post 8: New Floor Plan. We were really happy with the first floor plan. It included everything on my wish list, including a sliding barn door and a large sink! Post 9: Let's build! Walls, Bed, Couch, and Cabinets. It's been a month since my last post already! Notched wood to fit around the chair rail. Lot's of strange notching going on to fit the bus structure. Zeek was on his supervision game. We finished the bed by laying down plywood on top. Next we'll build the under storage and headboard. What’s the hold up? It’s been a rough spring for the Anne Marie. As the weather warmed up, we started spending more time in there, and began construction of a new unit. It came together quickly, and we set our eyes on installing the woodstove. The ceiling is complete! We finished the ceiling! After much deliberation and research on how best to secure the wood to the frame, we wound up going with plain old screws. The hardware isn’t as visible as we had feared, and gives us some peace of mind that the wood hanging above our heads will remain there. There is, however, a pattern to the boards. It’s too subtle to see, but each row of boards starts one rib back from the one before it. It repeats four times across the ceiling. Live Love Travel Dream.

We’ve divided our interior into individual units that will together make up our living area. We’ve finished roughing out two of these. Our dropleaf desk is on the port side immediately behind the driver seat. We haven’t completely finished it yet, since the legs that will support the leaf won’t be installed until the flooring is installed. When we last left off, we still had water flowing uninterrupted into our precious living quarters. Well, maybe it was only a trickle, but it was still entirely too much.
