Friday, March 23, 2007. Has it really been almost two weeks since my last post? I guess time flies when you're overwhelmed. I will be making up for lost time with this blog post:. Progress on the house. Hernia surgery because of his recent illness. It's now scheduled for Monday, April 2. As I mentioned in my previous post, JF. Was diagnosed with Henoch. Seems to get sick less often now that he's on Pulmicort. But this was a doozy. Which he has almost finished and which seemed to clear up everything.

Warrior or Worrier?: Insomnia, for many reasons
http://warriormommd.blogspot.com/2007/08/insomnia-for-many-reasons.html
Saturday, August 18, 2007. Insomnia, for many reasons. I woke up at 3:00 AM. After about a half-hour, I gave up trying to get back to sleep. I made myself some chamomile tea, ate some peanut butter, and started making a to-do list to get things off my mind. That woke me up even more. So here I am, attempting to write about everything that I've been wanting to write about for the past few weeks:. My body is not cooperating. My body is not cooperating. I also mentioned to the nurse that I had tried taking ...

Warrior or Worrier?: Suffering from blog deprivation
http://warriormommd.blogspot.com/2007/10/suffering-from-blog-deprivation.html
Friday, October 12, 2007. Suffering from blog deprivation. I haven't written a post in over a month. Part of the problem is that I now have a long commute, 45-90 minutes each way. I spend all of my time just surviving now. However, when I tried to use it, it wouldn't work because our phone line had the stutter sound to indicate that we have voice mail. And we couldn't check our voice mail. (Murphy's Law? The appointment with the counselor went well, I think. AF still had not read the. On Monday 9/17/07, ...

Warrior or Worrier?: Rest in peace, NHF
http://warriormommd.blogspot.com/2007/08/rest-in-peace-nhf.html
Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Rest in peace, NHF. My husband's mom died yesterday. Her decline began a year and a half ago, when she went to the doctor for a sore throat and difficulty breathing. It turned out to be a cancerous tumor in her throat. They removed it and started a treatment of chemo and radiation therapy. She's been bouncing back and forth between hospitals and nursing homes ever since. Yesterday, AF called me at work and said just two words: "She's gone." I knew what he meant. There will be ...

Warrior or Worrier?: December 2006
http://warriormommd.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 19, 2006. Summary of my life. I'm going to try to summarize my life:. 1973 I was born in Puerto Rico. Dad was a chemist at the University of San Juan. Mom was a homemaker. Brother1, Sister1, and Sister2 attended Catholic school. 1974 I remember palm trees and sandy beaches. 1980 I greatly feared my second grade teacher. She would use a paddle on students who misbehaved. I did not do very well with addition and subtraction because I didn't know how to memorize the answers, and di...I lik...

It only takes one bad apple… | Strange Cup of Tea

Strange Cup of Tea. My mental meanderings about family, autism, life in general…. Laquo; While I haven’t been writing here…. It only takes one bad apple…. December 6, 2010 by rebekahscot. If only we were dealing with just one bad apple. If only…. I’m noticing a trend. One doesn’t have to be highly enlightened or even have above average observation skills to see it either. It’s appallingly obvious. We autism parents deal with an inordinately high number of bad apples. I have to figure out a way around, ov...
