September was a busy month! We had a lot of big things happen in our family this month! We went camping for Labor Day (first time this year. thanks to crazy weather.)Fab weather, lots of kite flying and a really big bon fire (or a 20 ft explosion, call it what you want! Avery FINALLY lost a tooth. or two. Notice the two full teeth behind all ready to take their places. We were so glad to share that with Gramma and Grampa. Definitely a fun and full month! Squeezin' in some Spring Camping! We've had so much rain this Spring that we haven't had many chances to go camping. It get too hot and humid to do much camping in the summer, so we squeezed in a couple camping trips with our camping buddies, the Putnams. We went up to Roaring River in Missouri for a quick over night. There was a great hike overlooking the hatchery. We hiked it just at dusk. It was beautiful! And playing in the lake. Super fun! Create your own free picture collage. We had such a fun day with Avery, celebrating her birthday. She was given a fabulous book on how to have the best Fairy Garden Party a few months ago(gee, thanks, Gramma Mary.), and she never let go of the idea (much to my dismay! This year we decided to make gingerbread houses. I started thinking about hosting a Gingerbread House Party, but decided that starting simple this year would be a better idea. We had a blast! The girls and I made a fun little village and we've enjoyed them all season long. This has been out centerpiece for the month. I think our dwarf Amaryllis is a real addition to the village. (Not sure why it's so short, too much direct sun, I think.). Each of the girls took care to make their house look just right.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Oh What Do We Do In The Summertime? We make very quick weekend trips to Utah over the 4th of July! The whole family gathered for Landon's blessing: Jeff, Amy, and baby-to-be from Denver, the Larsen's from Cedar City, the Hooper clan from Arkansas, Michael and Cali Gma and Gpa from California. All the grandchildren with Grandma and Grandpa Great. We're so glad that they made the trip to American Fork to be with us for the blessing. He needs to be patient for just a few more months.
