Hoops for Hope USA originated in Overland Park, Kansas at Blue Valley Southwest High School during the 2011 school year. Some aspects of our model were inspired by "Bookstore Basketball" at the University of Notre Dame, where the founder attended undergraduate school. The goal behind the event was to create an enthusiastic venue where KIDS HELP KIDS by combining the competition of basketball with the fun of Halloween.

Hoops for Hope is South China's first student-run charity basketball organization.
