A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family.
June | 2014 | Hoosier Family Love
https://hoosierfamilylove.wordpress.com/2014/06
A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family. Monthly Archives: June 2014. Embracing Your Body: A Different Approach. I spend a lot of time “with” health and fitness: time at the gym, time with my fitness friends, reading about health and fitness, and time thinking of ways to make our children understand the importance of health and fitness. What if we changed our mindset about what it means to be healthy and fit? It is about the way my body gives me the strength to carry my 2...
Baby MK… 20 weeks | Hoosier Family Love
https://hoosierfamilylove.wordpress.com/2014/05/27/baby-mk-20-weeks
A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family. Baby MK… 20 weeks. Yes, I am looking and I know, but I am not sharing anymore😉. I can still wear my regular dress pants, but that is all. I love sleep, but this is nothing new from pre-pregnancy. Best moment this week:. I’ve taken my workouts down to about 4-5 times a week. This full time work crap is kicking my butt. I feel lots of movement first thing in the morning and before going to bed. Nothing from the outside yet though.
Baby MK… 16 weeks | Hoosier Family Love
https://hoosierfamilylove.wordpress.com/2014/03/29/baby-mk-16-weeks
A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family. Baby MK… 16 weeks. Baby Nicholson #2 will be entering this world in September and we can’t be more excited! I am actually hitting the scale head on this time, and okay with sharing my weight gain- how things change the second go around. I have gained 10 pounds so far. Sleeping well… besides still getting up to go to the bathroom. Best moment this week:. I feel little flutters when I am getting ready for bed. Food cravings: Not yet&...

A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family. Embracing Your Body: A Different Approach. I spend a lot of time “with” health and fitness: time at the gym, time with my fitness friends, reading about health and fitness, and time thinking of ways to make our children understand the importance of health and fitness. As I was driving home from teaching my Monday morning strength class this week I started to think about this question, “What does it mean to be healthy and fit? It is...
Baby MK… 33 weeks | Hoosier Family Love
https://hoosierfamilylove.wordpress.com/2014/07/27/baby-mk-33-weeks
A Hoosier mom's journey to create a faithful, loving, and healthy family. Baby MK 33 weeks. Weeks ( 2 days). The doctor says I am right on track and doing fine. I will just keep that in mind for my own sanity. Back to sleeping horribly again. I get up about 5-6 times a night to go to the restroom and have a hard time falling back asleep. I am basically walking around exhausted. I guess I should get used to this because I am sure having a toddler and a newborn will be exhausting as well. Have you started ...

A blog about living, learning, loving and being. Are we doing it right? I know, I know.calm down, you say). But, gee, this entire "text" book written on baby and toddler brain development has me wondering if we have been as responsive to all of his cries has possible; have we picked him up enough? I think so; I wore him a lot has a baby and even wear him some now.); has daycare scarred him? Was he held enough while he was there as an infant? Again, I know, calm down). http://blogger-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A blog about living, learning, loving and being. Reflections as a new mom of two. I am sitting in stillness this morning. The toddler has gone to "school" for the day. The baby is still sleeping after her 5:30 am feeding. The sun is rising in my backyard. I've spent some time in prayer, praying for my children, praying over us as parents. I read this most beautiful piece by Sarah Bessey this week: here we are again @ www.sarahbessey.com. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Reflections as a new mom of two. The Mo...

A blog about living, learning, loving and being. Reflections as a mother of one. 8220;Is he your first? When my son was just a baby and strangers would peer into the stroller at his squishable cheeks and rosebud lips, awing at the sight of our sweet bundle, this was often their first question. It was as though they were waiting to know whether to unleash an abundance of sage new parenting advice or simply smile, nod, and comment on how I must have my hands full or if he was the only boy, etc. One piece o...

http://blogger-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A blog about living, learning, loving and being. I still watch my kid like a hawk when we go to the playground (secretly longing and yet already lamenting the day he can do it with me more on the sidelines). Dancing in the living room. Holding his hands as he tentatively crosses the wobbly bridge (saving up those precious hours after bed time for a hot shower and a spot on the couch). My own time feels like no time. To do lists feel like a joke. A precious, remarkable, humbling. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A blog about living, learning, loving and being. Before I get to this entry's title, can I just say that I LOVE being a mom? Colin continues to fill our lives with such wonder, and I am amazed each day at what he is learning and developing. We were showing him a picture of a polar bear in his new Noisy Zoo book. I swear he immediately starting saying "br." You can ask him "where's the monkey? Which sounds to me like he may honestly be asking "what is this? Ah, life as a mom is so brutiful. Most likely, t...

http://blogger-on-the-run.blogspot.com/2010/06/movingforward.html
A blog about living, learning, loving and being. Sometimes, you just gotta keep moving forward. I knew it wouldn't take me long to get to this post.because this post is about a new organization that is near to my heart. Girls on the Run. I mentioned it briefly in my first post, but now I want to go more in depth about what it is and why it has so much meaning to me- as a woman, as a runner, as a girl who once was (and sometimes still is) stuck in the "girl box.". Or get snubbed by the "in" crowd? And run...

Hey guys, I was looking through some of my old writings/class assignments and decided to give you a bonus post. This was my profile story/interview with IU soccer player Alec Purdie. Hoosier Farm Babe
Welcome to our website! There is nothing easy about being a young farmer owning and operating your own business. In just the 10 years that we have been farming, we have experienced some tough times and also very good times. You know what has gotten us through the tough times . our faith in God, our family and probably a bit of stubbornness. Speaking of those good times . my husband and I recently received a top award. We are grateful for our family for believing in us even when we didn't believe in ourse...
