Clara has not allowed her “disability” to keep her from doing what needs to be done. Clara is able to get around and do most anything any “normal” woman does using a homemade wooden crutch. She has been married for many years but has no children. Pray that the Holy Spirit would stir their hearts to want to know the truth.

Saturday, September 14, 2013. Greetings Dear Family and Friends,. I just wanted to give a quick update as to our transition back to Mozambique. We have seen God’s hand and provision in multiple ways and I just wanted to share some of these with you and thank you so much for your prayers for us these days. 1 Good byes were as hard as expected, but we are so thankful for the gift of a close loving family that we can confidently leave in the loving arms of our Father! I know Eden wanted to come with us.

In other places that we have served, we have been able to meet up with national Baptist Believers and join them in reaching the lost around them. They have helped serve as a bridge to the communities/villages and identifying possible persons of peace. They were a real source of encouragement and help. Derek, Anna and Eden.

Monday, March 26, 2012. A few hours down the road (and by now we are on the dirt road) we had another flat tire. Not a blow out this time - just a flat tire with a nice big gash in it! We didn't have another spare - so Daniel took all our stuff out of the truck again and tried to use a tire patch kit. But the gash was just too long and deep. Daniel barely got all our stuff back in the truck before a rain-storm hit! First sun then rain! Thank you again to everyone who was praying for us! Maziba Bay, Zambia.

Monday, March 26, 2012. We praise the Lord for a safe drive the first 6 hours of our trip from Lusaka to home. We spent the night in Livingstone to break up the trip. We praise the Lord for His protection the next day when our tire had a major blow-out! Both Daniel and I felt "something funny" just before it blew. We glanced at each other and Daniel took his foot off the gas. Then - POW! Daniel struggled to maintain control of the truck. He said he was surprised that we didn't flip. Ow - It looks awful!
