Thursday, December 16, 2010. A Beautiful Flower Blooms Today! My brother and sister-in-law are in the hospital awaiting their little girl Daisy! Jessica's water broke this morning! She hasn't gone into labor yet and is still dilated 2.5cm and is 80% effaced (which hasn't changed from the other day). So I am waiting on a little more progress before I head on to the hospital! I cannot believe my baby brother is going to be a daddy and that I'm going to be an Aunt! Thursday, December 9, 2010. It is taking l...

I'll be words and you'll be music: June 2010
http://richards-words-and-music.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. Matt and I had the opportunity to experience something wonderful together this week. No, it wasn't a trip to Hershey, PA where we ate our weight in chocolate at the factory (that was only a dream). Nor did we receive notice from Matt's place of business that, due to his outstanding work performance, they decided to graciously double his salary [though, he did actually receive a small raise recently, praise God! Ks like a boy! Well, of course! We each picked out an outfit for Natalie.

I'll be words and you'll be music: April 2011
http://richards-words-and-music.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. It's been a long time since I've had a chance to blog, so while this adorable sleeping beauty is resting peacefully against me, I thought it'd be a good time to post a few words. With Easter being upon us and my first mother's day quickly approaching, I'm feeling overwhelming blessed - by His sacrifice for my sins and by His grace in placing this tiny child in my arms. He died so that I could live. Amazing love, oh what sacrifice. The Son of God, given for me. In the sweet music.

Monday, February 21, 2011. Confessions from a new mom:. I consider it an accomplishment if I manage to shower every other day. My hands are often chapped from frequent hand washing to avoid germs. I ate dinner tonight in bed with my plate balanced on my left leg and a crying Natalie lying in my right arm. I secretly rejoice when Natalie has a poopy diaper when Matt has diaper duty (because it means I missed a dirty one)! My first thought every morning when I wake up is, "is she still breathing? When we'r...

I'll be words and you'll be music: July 2010
http://richards-words-and-music.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 26, 2010. Remember the classic children's novel by E.B. White entitled Charlotte's Web. To refresh your memory, the story involves a pig named Wilbur who becomes friends with a spider named Charlotte. She is no ordinary spider, using her special talent for writing to save Wilbur from the slaughter house. Charlotte saves Wilbur by writing messages in her web that portray Wilbur as something extraordinary in hopes that the farmer will let Wilbur live. I have mostly avoided being in the summer ...

I'll be words and you'll be music: May 2011

Friday, May 13, 2011. We've not even been in our house for two years yet, and our kitchen table setting has already been boring me for some time. It's just a little too drab. Here it what it looked like:. I planned to change it up eventually, but when I came across a table runner in the clearance section of Target, I got inspired. A trip to IKEA (my first, in fact) provided the rest of the simple changes I was looking for. Not bad for a cheap, simple solution to the kitchen table blahs! In the sweet music.
