Friday, July 23, 2010. The last few days have been crazy for me. What started out as a sore throat, a mild headache, some sinus drainage and a trip to the doctor telling me "it's a bacteria, we can't do anything about it" two weeks ago, ended up with a two night stay in the hospital. Based on recent estimates, there are over 153 million children worldwide. That have lost one or both parents. Many of these children suffer from deprivation of basic needs such as water, food, and sanitation. Over 67 million orphans of primary school age do not attend school; of the children that attend school, 7 million have an IQ score of 20 points or lower.
