Thursday, 7 May 2015. Another Day, Another Cafe! Meanwhile, the Cafe Chat was splendid, around 'Memorable Moments' and 'Bucket Lists', the minds were temporarily drawn from exam/ revision stress AND we all enjoyed The Well in Cafe mode. Our plan is to meet once more in June prior to the summer break and hope to continue Conversation Cafe in the Autumn after the summer break. Here's some feedback from Conversation Cafe participants about what's been good so far. Posted by Hope 2 Oban at 08:51.

Wednesday, 10 June 2015. BBQ Time and a special visit to Kilmore. It's that end of term time and that can mean only one thing.BBQ season! Braving the possibility of midges, of which there were none, Xplore and GFG made their way to Kilmore, with the promise of a fine BBQ at the home of our friends, the Clunies. Following on from the feeding frenzy, an impromptu adventure was suggested and duly undertaken. Posted by Hope 2 Oban at 15:16. Powerpoint season draws to a close. To the Green Shoots Walled Garden.

Thursday, 7 May 2015. To the Green Shoots Walled Garden. Yes, it's almost summer time and sun is blazing - well nearly! Anyway - it is a splendid season for Zoooom! To visit the H2O Green Shoots Walled Garden as it begins to bloom and blossom, and to meet up with John and Catriona, the Green Shoots team. And that's exactly what we did recently. The Zooomers! Were sent off with the task of clicking some good 'promo' shots of the garden, followed by a nice cup of tea. Posted by Hope 2 Oban at 09:39.

Saturday, 28 November 2009. First meeting of JiM @ Oban High School. As part of H2O's campaign to raise awareness and much-needed funding for the work, the group known as JiM, short for 'Jayne in Malawi', has been formed to support the work of former OHS Librarian Jayne Powers. Jayne now lives and works in Kasungu, and plans to be part of the catalyst to build a much-needed school nearby in Dzuwa. JiM's first task is to work out how to get these gifts to Jayne in Kasungu. Thursday, 7 May 2015. Taking Smurf-like Blue to a new Depth! GFG gathered recently, youth workers in their 'smurf-like' hoodies (as described at OHS) and on this occasion 'smurf-like' tongues, with Jenny Whytock, previously of Oban and more recently of Iris Ministries in Mozambique. What a great opportunity for GFG'ers to hear of some of what goes on in another part of the world and particularly of the impact Jesus is having on lives. Posted by Hope 2 Oban at 09:12. Friday, 10 July 2009. H2O joins SSC for the 2009 season of summer camps. It all kicked off with SSC last weekend at Struan. 'Advanced Guard', the biggest ever, welcomed 40 seniors to a very special field in Perthshire to set up the camp. 2 massive marquees, many troop tents, luscious loos, pit-digging opportunities and massive dish-washing sessions all added to the fun challenges interspersed with Struan Cinema, Sing-song and the first visit to Pitlochry of the season.
