The 2014 GRTTC marked the 9th successful ride as hundreds of cyclists - for the second year in a row - rode in freezing cold weather to the Capitol to show their support for better bicycling in Georgia! With the new streetcar tracks on Edgewood, this year's ride featured an alternate route downtown. Not quite as challenging as the 2013 event (no snow flurries! Today Slowly, but surely, my little PR butterfly friends are spreading their wings and taking off into the much-feared real world. I'm hoping that some of this good luck will rub off on me and my other roommates. The two police-escorted routes for 2015 are:. The Roswell and Decatur routes. Cyclists on both routes will have police escorts to the Capitol. As in the past, the rides back are not. Decatur will be 5 miles one-way, with some hills, and ridden at a slow pace. The Decatur route starts at the north parking lot of the East Lake MARTA rail station.
