Hope Against All Odds. The Journey from a Dream Chaser to a Dream Maker. Cd3 and moving forward. So Monday’s beta was negative obviously. I wasn’t surprised because of my poas addiction. I actually handled it very well, wasn’t upset in beta day, by that time I had come to terms with it. I think the fact that I had 5 blasts on ice really helped with this. Basically, the diet is no caffeine, no sugar, no gluten, no dairy, no alcohol. I’m fine with the caffeine and alcohol. Dairy I can handle. But sugar and gluten – ahhhh! I do think I slipped a bit today when I was in a pinch and needed to have something for lunch. I cooked a frozen black bean burger and saw that it wasn’t gluten-free. Sumbitch. But no worries here. I’m not on stims right now, but when I was on them a few weeks ago, I got to wondering…. What would happen if we increased our stims on our own, without talking to the docs? They say 150 of Gonal F, why not slip an extra 50 in there? They say 20 Lupron… why 25 wouldn’t hurt. I didn’t do this, honest. It’s Official… IVF #3 Has Begun! Good news – estrogen level was below 50 so they aren’t worried about cysts (at least not for now). I started Lupron tonight, will continue that twice a day for a while, and add some Gonal-F and Menopur in a day or so. It’s my famous high-dosage cocktail of fertility meds. IVF #3 – It’s Over. After the scare of having cysts last week, we were told that we could move forward with the IVF cycle. Started Lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur. At the next appointment days later, they did not see any cysts yet saw six follicles growing, one measurable. Hopes raised. But the estrogen number was low.
