My daughter, Haylee Kate, was diagnosed with APML Leukemia, which is a rare form, on November 21, 2011 at 8 years old. I thought this would be a good way for me to get my thoughts and feelings out and to let others know about her ups and downs throughout her treatment. November 20, 2012. 1 year down.and a positive outlook on life :). For the past year, Haylee has had to get used to A LOT of things she wouldn't have normally had to.swallowing pills, weekly port accesses (not anymore! Not feeling well :(.

So I'm starting this blog.to try. To try to figure out if I've done enough to help my girl. If I'm doing enough. What else is out there.what other help is available.what else can we try? I'm Stephanie, mom to my beautiful, wonderful, carefree daughter-Haven. Haven is 2 1/2 at the start of this and has now had her g-tube for 6 months due to failure to thrive and food refusal.
