Marian's Musings From Home: In a blink
http://mariansmusingsfromhome.blogspot.com/2014/01/in-blink.html
Sunday, January 12, 2014. So it looks like I inadvertently took the month of December off from blogging. So I enter back to the blogging world with my daughter's 6th birthday! Six years old.I can hardly believe it. It really does seem like they grow in a blink of an eye. I wasn't there at her birth - I didn't even know she was born - but God knew. And as much as I miss those precious newborn months with her, I know God's timing is perfect. Joah's reluctant, "Tess is 6" message. January 12, 2014 at 6:23 PM.

Our Story
http://www.oldoakpress.com/story
How did we get here? When Eve and I were first married, we were just trying to be together. She lived in Toronto and was a British citizen and I lived in Atlanta. We wondered if I should move to Canada and take a job there…. We originally met when we were kids in Oakville, Ontario. My family had moved there for Dad’s job. Of course, Eve and I had no idea that someday we’d marry. We barely noticed each other! But life has a sense of humor. A year passed and I was asked to relocate to Birmingham again....

We believe no child should have to grow up in an orphanage or without a family. Bureaucracy is involved, and the best interests of the children are not first and foremost. As they should be. And it is heart-wrenching. I know it’s overwhelming. You may be thinking, what can I do anyway? Some practical ways to help…. Get in the know.

Three sisters in a pod. Saturday, August 15, 2009. We took a trip to the General Patton Museum a few weeks ago and it was good:-). The kids LOVED the tanks. yes, they were even able to touch them. They loved the guy that turned up now an then to tell them various tales of the history of certain tanks (they also loved watching him be QUITE STERN with a couple of older boys that were being a bit too rowdy. AND THEN they loved watching him kick those boys right out the front door! The recruiting posters,.
