Wednesday, March 5, 2014. There are so many things competing for my attention now a days. Sometimes it's hard to know what to focus on, or even how. To focus on it all. I did get some things started during my organizational journey. 1 A cleaner closet. Not 'cleaned' as in done. 2 Stair treads. Stained and installed. Check and check. 3 Mudroom light bulb replaced. Friday, March 21, 2014. Some Progress and Some Packing. The view is slowly improving around here. Is it wrong that I am so liking these unpainted? The decorating is happening slowly too. I did have a fancy event to attend the next month, and while I had an outfit in mind that would do, it wasn't really sitting well with me and I didn't want to spend the evening feeling. well . Good even when I am looking this. Have I found a magic dress? 2 women (I'm thinking a mother and daughter) approach with the cashier to buy some items while I'm. Tip-toeing around in my socks, pretending to be in heels, probably gaping at my reflection. T. The dress ended up costing me $17.

Friday, January 31, 2014. When it came time to talk about flooring for the main part of the house, it was a no-brainer for me to decide on hardwood floors. The warmth that they bring to a room is what feels like home to me. I knew that the dark floors would mean more maintenance, but the other floors we liked: whitewashed or grey stained, didn't speak to the space. It looks great - so warm and polished, especially compared to the sub-floors. Sorry about the glare. It's raining. Like it never happened!
