Can we dance with change? Can we fall and try again with playfulness? Do we have the focus, skill and attunement to find the stillpoint within it all? Tuesday, May 28, 2013. November 2014 Friends-giving with Jody and Skip. Our dear friends, Jody and Skip came out for our annual "friends-giving". As always, we were thrilled to have them come. Enjoyed every minute of their companionship. And were sad to see them go. We fired up the new fryer. And uh. Who is this lovely creature? Facebook - Emily Ruoss.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing: Finally, a moment of candor
http://dadecariaga.blogspot.com/2007/09/finally-moment-of-candor.html
Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Tuesday, September 04, 2007. Finally, a moment of candor. The cable news punditry, or Chris Matthews, at least, is all abuzz today about a new Junior Bush biography due out soon. The book, entitled Dead Certain. Is authored by Robert Draper, a journalist in the employ of GQ Magazine. While I won't be reading the book, indications are that it is not exactly a hagiography like Bob Woodward's Bush at War. And I don't even like you.). But, what I don't understand is how an...

Sound and fury, signifying nothing: Sit down, bigot!
http://dadecariaga.blogspot.com/2010/08/sit-down-bigot.html
Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Monday, August 23, 2010. Sit down, bigot! Disgraceful, ignorant bigots. If anything has become apparent in the wake of the ridiculous faux debate over the construction of a Muslim cultural center at Park 51 in Manhattan. It is this: if we value our Constitution we must now demand that the center be built, as planned, on the proposed site. When rank hypocrites like Newt Gingrich. Start suggesting that we amend the Constitution. Passions running high through the dog days.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing: City perks
http://dadecariaga.blogspot.com/2013/05/city-perks.html
Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Thursday, May 30, 2013. Living in the city. Last night, the Portland Timbers hosted the Wilmington Hammerheads of North Carolina. It so happened that some of my season-ticket holding friends had tickets they couldn't use. This windfall development resulted in Maty and I and our sister, Nadia, hopping the #14 bus bound for Jeld-Wen Field on an unseasonably cool May evening. There was a hubbub. Me and my honey. Soon the three of them were going back and forth while I, wi...

Sound and fury, signifying nothing: More proof that the Iraq War is a lie (as if we needed any)
http://dadecariaga.blogspot.com/2008/08/more-proof-that-iraq-war-is-lie-as-if.html
Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Wednesday, August 06, 2008. More proof that the Iraq War is a lie (as if we needed any). What does it say about the condition of this country that a bombshell. Like the one that Ron Suskind recently dropped about the Bush administration's case for war is not front page bold-type news? What does it say about the condition of this country that for many Americans, this news is just confirmation of what they have believed all along. Is an honorable man. A special assignmen...

Sound and fury, signifying nothing: Breaking news: Junior has regrets!
http://dadecariaga.blogspot.com/2008/10/breaking-news-junior-has-regrets.html
Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Thursday, November 13, 2008. Breaking news: Junior has regrets! On Tuesday, in an interview with CNN, Junior Bush, who is arguably one of the most despised and hated men in the world, admitted to having " regrets. The admission struck me like a thunderbolt. Could Junior actually regret that he is placed at the forefront of an illegal invasion. Of a sovereign nation that resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths? For torture of detainees? He elaborated, somewhat, sayi...
