journey of hope: July 2011
http://hopehammond.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. As I grow older and experience more of life, I find it increasingly challenging to keep a soft heart. Reasons to be disillusioned, negative and closed off loom in various places, and those places seem to multiply at a rapid pace. Allowing myself to be distracted by challenges, inconveniences and negativity threatens my dream of blissful existence. Perhaps gratitude is the key: thanking God for all the blessings and for all the challenges...
journey of hope: Authenticity is a Gift
http://hopehammond.blogspot.com/2013/02/authenticity-is-gift.html
Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Thursday, February 7, 2013. Authenticity is a Gift. Picture from thegospelcoalition.org. In the chapter about balancing in Chris Maxwell's book Pause. But we grew up in the Bible belt, and you're supposed to go to a church for church. Eventually, we found a church home again. I am very cautious and slow to get involved and open up. It's not that I expect church to be perfect, but I do expect it to be authentic. But being authentic whether for good or for bad makes m...
journey of hope: Meet Hoyt
http://hopehammond.blogspot.com/2014/03/meet-hoyt.html
Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Thursday, March 27, 2014. This is Hoyt. He is a member of my church, New Beginning Worship Center of Macon, Georgia. I love this man! And he is one of my favorite people to photograph. He loves to tell stories. He often talks about the two loves of his life. He was married to one woman a little over 20 years and another for 25. Hoyt is in his 80s from what I can gather, and he cherishes his independence. He then proceeded to put me to shame in a quick game of basket...

Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Making the Most of It. Ublic speaking.everyone's favorite pastime, right? But it is a requirement for graduation, and I could put it off no longer. I'm not just getting more comfortable at giving speeches, but I'm learning to take some risks and to slow down. I've become more confident and have found out a little bit more about myself and how I'm perceived. Links to this post. Friday, October 14, 2011. Hating People Into the Kingdom? And t...
journey of hope: Be Great, Crusaders!
http://hopehammond.blogspot.com/2013/02/be-great-crusaders.html
Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Be Great, Crusaders! Crusaders are GISA AA Region Champs. We’ve all wondered at one time or another how one team with standout talent can lose to another team with lesser talent. And though there may be a number of reasons for a loss here or there like injuries, off-nights or poor officiating, more than likely if you look closely, you’ll see that it’s a matter of teamwork. That’s why we’re still standing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Ato...

Looking Higher: Will You Do Your Part?
http://revronclark.blogspot.com/2011/02/will-you-do-your-part.html
Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. February 26, 2011. Will You Do Your Part? I was having a conversation with a friend and we were talking about the global Church. Particularly world evangelism and what we could do about it. Then a great revelation occurred to me during our little chat. This is a big problem no doubt, but it’s not impossible. About the people rebuilding the walls. What is really neat about this story is the way in which they did this. Each in front of his own house. What y...

Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. March 28, 2010. A Big Lesson In The Big Easy. I had the privilege of going to New Orleans on a short term mission trip this past week. I learned a few valuable lessons on this trip that I want to pass on to you. It’s not so much about the what but the why. Let me explain this for you I know all this but for some reason I got consumed with the job at hand and forgot somewhat about the reason I was here. Which was to be an ambassador for Christ. 160; My outl...
Looking Higher: Be A Servant Not A Sitter

Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. February 13, 2011. Be A Servant Not A Sitter. Well it’s been a few days since we have spoken, I have been really tired and busy. This week looks to be another busy one as well. I am privileged and honored to be a team member on a student ministry team here at Emmanuel College. My heart in ministry is geared toward the less fortunate and serving them in whatever capacity I can. Jesus spoke about this in Matthew 25:31-46. This scripture is how I model my life.

Let me start buy saying thanks for your prayers for the Atlanta area as well as for me my friends, Jessica and Garrett who bravely came along with me. We left Thursday morning very early and returned Friday afternoon. I was shocked at how quickly people responded to this situation. Mostly due to the efforts of Shaun King. Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. February 6, 2011. A simple life pt. 5. As I was sitting around last night a thought came in my mind. I was pondering on the whole idea of simplifying life and stumbled across a great revelation. It had slipped my mind in earlier post. I guess because it’s like second nature to me. Anyways we as people get so consumed by the hassles of life that we tend to forget about having fun. CONCEPT # 5: Have fun and enjoy the simple things. Tell her to help me!

Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. December 15, 2009. A TRIBUTE TO A TRUE MAN OF GOD. 160; As I sit hear watching the stories of Oral Roberts I am so overwhelmed with his passion and heart for God’s people. I am writing this with tears of joy on my cheeks. He left behind not only a great legacy but also a great institution in which men and women are still being equipped to minister and lead God’s people. Will people talk about you after you pass or will you be forgotten in a flash? There wa...

http://revronclark.blogspot.com/2011/02/patience.html
Simplifying life and ministry by looking higher. February 8, 2011. Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord;. He turned to me and heard my cry. My word for you today is wait patiently on God, and HE will hear your cry. So hold on a little longer for HE is doing a NEW thing in our lives, and remember LOOK HIGHER for help. Follow Him always for He knows the plans He has for you! I love you my sweet son and keep up the good work God has appointed and instructed you to do. Love, Mama. What I am into.

journey of hope
Woman wife. mother. here's my journey. Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Sin and the Sinner. What Do We Do With That? We say that we 'love the sinner, and hate the sin,' but what does that mean? Why do we hate the sin? For the sake of hating sin? I think if that's the case, we're missing the point. Does God hate sin for the sake of hating sin? Is he holy for the sake of making a bunch of rules and judgments? Because he loves us that much. Is this our motivation for hating sin? So why do you really hate the sin?

Asha's Handicrafts
Our Friends of Nature. Monday, 18 November 2013. Most of the younger generation hasn't been involved in these crafts. That's only because of lack of time. In an attempt to learn from the talented ladies, I bought crochet hook and wool. My aunt and mom taught me a design or two along with the basic crochet stitches. I'm still learning and experimenting. It's totally fun especially to spend time with them. :-). Presenting my humble attempt to crochet flowers. Friday, 1 November 2013. We are getting ready ...
