Monday, April 26, 2010. Katie's school is starting a new incentive in the café. One person each day will receive the "Cafe Superstar Award". They get to hang a fancy sign on the back of their chair for the whole day, they get a prize and get to meet the head of the school at 8:30 the next day to ring the bell and say the pledge of allegiance over the speaker. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Just as we did last year, we visited the Garden d'Lights. At the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. It's such a beautifully impressive display of skill and creativity, as well as a celebration of the season. This year we were joined by Regina's sister Edy, her husband Matt, and their kids Paige, Katelyn, Matthew and MacKenzie. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Scenic Road Trip to Leavenworth. Mom, Bonnie and I took advantage of another gorgeous day to drive through Stevens Pass. To Leavenworth in the Cascade mountains. The trip was so incredibly scenic, but there are no places to pull over, so Mom and Bonnie were snapping pictures from the car, as we drove by. Kids (and adults) were having a blast sledding down this hill in the middle of town. Made me wish we had brought our sled with us! Links to this post. Mt Rainier Photo Op.
