Higginski Chronicles: Meeting Viv
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015/05/meeting-viv.html
The story of my life. Thursday, May 21, 2015. I finally met the elusive Vivienne last night! They got to come home on Saturday, months earlier than they originally thought possible. Her dad had to go on a work trip Tuesday-Wednesday, so I went over to help her mom make it through the last few hours before he got home. Completely unrelated to her CDH, Vivienne is also colicky. Very exciting for her parents. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Baby's CDH Story. The Green Phone Booth. Pain In The Rearing.

Higginski Chronicles: April 2015
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The story of my life. Friday, April 17, 2015. Our yard is about 4 feet above our neighbor's yard on one side, and held up by a retaining wall. The wall was sloping and we could see where it had fallen about 3 inches since we moved here. We bit the bullet and got a new wall put in - and used the opportunity to get rid of the rusty, tangled chain link and get new wooden fences and gates all around! It's so much nicer looking, I'm really excited about it! Before: Front yard and gate on side.

Higginski Chronicles: July 2015
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The story of my life. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Hello My name is Rachel, and I am a morning person. I've read articles with mixed conclusions about if being a morning person or a night owl is really changeable. Either way, my parents and college roommates can attest that I historically did not like mornings. I was always running late, and dreading having to do anything outgoing in the morning. Was a challenge at first, but it made me get up and start my day smiling. Have a good one. Sunday, July 12, 2015.

Higginski Chronicles: February 2015
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The story of my life. Sunday, February 22, 2015. We've discovered a condition, sure to have been experienced before, but not documented where I can find it. I call it 'grief-lag.' The steps for acquiring the condition are:. Step 2: Intellectually prepare yourself for pet's last days, while getting comfortable despite yourself due to his completely recovered behavior. Decide to move forward with going on trip. Step 3: Go on vacation, acquiring a key component of the overall condition: jet lag. Step 9: Get...

Higginski Chronicles: May 2015
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
The story of my life. Monday, May 25, 2015. We welcomed summertime with a fun long weekend:. Saturday - Pups in the Park! Waiting to get in! A few times each season the Washington Nationals opens their Right Field section for a dog-friendly experience. I've wanted to go for years but Miles wouldn't have really liked it (he didn't like heat or being around other dogs) and timing didn't work out. I knew Maple would love it, though! Maple was not fooled by the fake grass. Everyone loved the new fence and th...

Higginski Chronicles: Ten Year Plan
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015/05/ten-year-plan.html
The story of my life. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Today is the 10th anniversary of my college graduation. I like acknowledging these milestones even though I don't attach any particular weight to them as far as what I should have achieved or how I should feel about the passage of time. I'm really happy about that - that is something I wanted and always want as part of my life. I feel lucky to have been consistently employed for the solid 10 years, as I watched many others lose jobs in a big ol' recession...

Higginski Chronicles: August 2015
http://higginski.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The story of my life. Monday, August 17, 2015. Justin is Very Loved (a Tale of a Wonderful Birthday). Justin is older and wiser than me again (for the next two months). We kicked off his 33rd year with several days of fun:. Fake smile, but he was actually. Smiling until I pointed the. That evening we decided to go to our favorite local hangout for a casual dinner and Trent and Cristina met up with us as well. It was a very nice, impromptu gathering! But many people wore blue so I'll call it a win! Tuesda...
