Hop Sea III.2. Former Trailing Spouse's - now back in the US and working in the DC Metro area - musings on life. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Back in the saddle again. Sunday, February 25, 2007. Monday, February 26, 2007. Now back home after working the afternoon at the office, the corpse was awake briefly and spoke, but has now turned off his light and is sleeping. I’m thankful that tomorrow I’m going out into the field; I don’t predict a good night’s sleep. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Another night in London before taking the train out to Norwich and East Anglia University for Kristen's. On this trip, and, after the month of consulting I've just come from, I'm looking forward to my time with the lad. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hop Sea III.2. Former Trailing Spouse's - now back in the US and working in the DC Metro area - musings on life. Thursday, July 27, 2006. Why I hate Malagasy Banking. It was easy and quick. But, reader, I assure you it was a false sense of security because it was here that things went pear-shaped on the whole deal. The next morning I go to the bank. With a false smile, I calmly explain to my bank what happened. They’re dubious. Could they have made a mistake like this? Thankfully, I’m getting off t...

Hop Sea III.2. Former Trailing Spouse's - now back in the US and working in the DC Metro area - musings on life. Tuesday, April 03, 2007. We made it to. Where Kristen is enrolled in a two-week intensive French language course. The town is lovely. I can now understand why southern France is such a popular destination. Yesterday I walked around the bay with Owen and he fell asleep long enough for me to pop into a cafe and have an espresso. This is living! There are more photos from our trip on flickr.

Stretching my legs: Just a few hours left...
http://legstretch.blogspot.com/2007/03/just-few-hours-left.html
Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Sunday, March 04, 2007. Just a few hours left. Once you've seen one amazingly beautiful, enchantingly magical New Zealand beech forest, you've seen them all. Oregon sometime next week, I think. That kind of approach has worked here in New Zealand, we'll see if it works back home. Then when we got there, they built it up even more! And then, the boat ride out to the starting point. We had a ...

Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Back home at the farm. Amy, Mike, and me on the new bench! Nando loves my sleeping bag! It smells like New Zealand! Mike's pretty good with the OLD handsaw. Check out the new table! A better picture of the bench. It's good to be home. Links to this post. Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Saturday, January 13, 2007. Bubbling mud, lots of bubbling mud. Speaking of bizarre, one of the other main attractions is zorbing. Links to this post. I am way behind in my blogging. Armed with a delicious avocado and a bag of Australian tortilla chips, I shall see if I can catch up. In the morning, Tomer woke both me and Maa'yan, saying, "You've got to see the sunrise! That afternoon we decide...

Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Thursday, February 01, 2007. Nice weather for JANUARY! The weather was gorgeous- it rained some at night, but for the hike I had crystal clear days without a cloud in the sky. Ahh. summer. They take your camping gear from one campsite to the next. Quite a luxury! It felt weird for about 5 seconds, then I just enjoyed it. Hiking with just a day pack is much nicer! Oh, and we also saw dolphins!

Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Saturday, January 20, 2007. Right at home in Upper Hutt. Off the next evening at their backpacker hostel in Wellington, where they'd stay just one night before heading to the South Island, and I headed up to see what this farm where I'd be housesitting. Rae and Mike and their three daughters, Georgia (15), Olivia (11), and Sophia (9) have a great home! It is a busy place! The other two wwoofers.

Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Friday, November 10, 2006. 10 days and counting. Ten days from now I will leave Maine for my four month adventure - traveling in the US, mostly to visit friends and family, and in New Zealand, to work on organic farms (in the WWOOFing program), to explore the National Parks, and to experience a very different landscape. I'm really looking forward to getting out to stretch my legs a bit!

Little updates from my travels for my family, friends, and a couple of very small and wonderful island schools. Friday, April 13, 2007. Back on the East Coast. That car got me to the Northwest where I got to visit friends of my Dad's on Bainbridge Island, Abby and David in Oregon, and my brother and his family in Washington. Three fabulous visits! I'll post pictures on my Shutterfly account. All of the books held my attention for hours and made the long days of driving rather painless. Links to this post.

Mikkeller & Three Floyds Boogoop Review. Here’s our first foray into the realm of beer blogging. A magical place where my cousin and I can open a beer, nerd/geek out for a solid 42 minutes, get slightly or even moderately inebriated, and call it something like project , work or even responsibility if we are really reaching. That being said on to the beer. This is a nice looking beer. The label sets it up, offering a mix of shock and humor. But of course, appearance means the beer itself. Attr...Dried apr...

Hopse in Austria | My years in Thailand and Austria.
My years in Thailand and Austria. Almost) A Christmas Story. December 19, 2013. It was a nice and sunny afternoon when SP and PS came around. They talked about the ski-lift, the next hill, the snow, the sun, the city and the country-side, the sky, the winter, life, nature, and more. Eventually they went back to light a fire in the fireplace. It was the 1st Advent. Home is where my backpack is … or not? December 11, 2012. Than a stop, really. Second stop was Vienna. I partly had to and partly wanted t...
